In the novel Marked by Norah McClintock, the protagonist Collin has traits like wittiness as shown in the scene where he finds out the girl is lying . This novel takes place in the city somewhere in the present times. Collin gets a job cleaning up paint off unity boxes and poles. The company he works for has a hotline for anyone who sees paint on anything to call it , and they will clean it up.I thought this book was an easy read due to the fact that it on the shorter side. I would recommend this book to anyone due to the non-graphic plot line.

Marked by Norah McClintock is a book about a boy that has a summer job of scratches out gravity from wealthy neighborhood. When Colin accepts the summer job he worries that he might get involved in problems and crimes, but he doesn't expect to become a suspect for several robberies in the neighborhood. This book has a lot of mystery and also a lot of suspense. This book was overall easy to read because it had many common words. One thing I enjoyed about this book was hope the problem was solved and the really big plot twist on it. I rate this book a four out of five stars because I really enjoyed it, and I would also recommend people that like mystery and cases to read it.

The book Marked was a really mixed emotion book. It was a really good book at times then it got so boring and you'd have to read three to four chapters for it to get interesting, when you first check the back of the book it seems really go then it gets very boring until the 12th or 11th chapter. The book was pretty generic and felt like a bit was missing at the end because the ending chapter seemed unfinished. I don't know if id recommend it but if you want to read it go ahead.

this book was amazing! i was so sad when i was done, because it only has 103 pages. i liked how Norah McClintock used real life issues, like the graffiti and how kids are really depressed.
marked is about a boy named Colin, who has been in alot of trouble and in jail. he loves art and drawing he gets a summer job that is super sucky, but it is better than nothing. his job is to clean graffiti. he cleans it in really rich neighborhoods, so he is really surprised by it. he sees graffiti that looks important so he draws it in his sketch book. he starts to realize that the same person is doing all the graffiti.he starts liking a girl named Alyssa who is the dog walker in that neighborhood.
one day when he is talking to her about the graffiti her bag falls and a can of orange spray paint comes out, the same color the important looking graffiti is in.
he finds out that she was forced to do this because her brothers "friend" robs houses and when he got caught he blamed the brother and now is in jail. so she had to do it or else she would get hurt her also. so the graffiti is like a code, it says how many houses down the house is in, and what direction it is in, but since she knows the neighborhood so well she knows which houses owners are on vacation.
so in the end they set the robbers up and Alyssa's brother gets put of jail.
i recommend this book to people who like books with alot of action.

I really liked this book, but throughout the whole thing i was always wondering why Colin was in jail so many times and what he did to get in jail, because he seemed so nice and inncoent throughout the whole book.I think that if the author said why he was in jail all the time the reader would have had less sympathy for him, and they would have focused on other things that were important.

Colin has had been in trouble with the law a few times, but now, he's doing his best to not mess up anymore. He doesn't want to hurt his mom anymore and so he is doing what he can to stay out of trouble.

Dave Marsh is a youth worker who used to talk to Colin and believes that Colin is really a good kid. He gives Colin information about a job cleaning up graffiti over the summer and so far, it is going okay. But the neighbor where he is cleaning up graffiti starts getting houses broken into and soon, they begin to think Colin is the one doing it. Colin knows who is doing it and why, but he has to decide if he's going to tell the police or not.

Short and easy read. A bit intense, especially towards the end. It was a good story about second chances and doing the right thing. There was a bit of suspense and I was surprised about who was really doing the graffiti. Not a five star book for me, but it did have a good story and I think I will eventually check out some more books by this author.

I enjoyed this book a lot because I could figure out some clues and codes before it was actually said what they mean. This book is a great read for young teens. I also enjoyed this book because of the plot twist in the end. I found it was totally unexpected and I had my mouth open in shock. I do recommend this book for people who like to solve things using clues, or pay attention to every little thing when reading. :)
