The mountains look peaceful. The kids and the leaders seem friendly. The only challenge supposedly comes from within yourself. Wilderness Adventure - it'll change your life forever. . . .

Amy arrives at Wilderness Adventure all pumped up for a week of extreme sports. Her superior strength gives her an edge over the others. But she's ready to rock-climb, mountain-bike, and hang-glide without apologies. Only Eric and Tasha know why things are so easy for her. And Amy is glad they've come along - especially Eric, since she's crazy about him.

But the rugged bonding experience doesn't go exactly as she's planned.

Amy falls for a mysterious guy. Freak accidents abound. Secrets rule.

Soon "extreme" doesn't begin to describe the mad scramble for survival.

I was born in New Britain, Connecticut, and grew up in Atlanta, Georgia. I also spent a year (5th grade) in Montgomery, Alabama, and a year in Ann Arbor, Michigan(8th grade). As a child, I always wanted to be a writer, but I had lots of other ambitions too. I wanted to be a teacher, a librarian, a movie star, the president of the United States, and a ballerina.

I didn't achieve all my goals. I never became a movie star, the president of the U.S., or a ballerina. But I've been a teacher and a librarian and most of all, a writer. I've been writing for as long as I can remember. Growing up, I always kept a diary. I wrote poems, stories, plays, songs and lots of letters. Writing wasn't easy for me, but it felt natural and right.

I've always read a lot, too. I was an English major at Emory University (I love Shakespeare), and I also received a master's degree in library science at Emory. I earned a Doctor of Philosophy degree from the University of Chicago, and I taught children's and teen literature at St. John's University in New York for over 20 years. Now, I'm a full-time writer, living in Paris, France - the most beautiful city in the world.

Muistelin juuri "Kohtaamisen" olleen Replica-kirjasarjan suuri suosikkini luettuani kirjan monen monta kertaa lapsena. #TeamAndy

I have to admit I am a sucker for these book. This time Amy and friends Tasha and Eric go on an adventure camping expedition. Another camper, Andy, seems to have exceptional strenght and speed, just like Amy. I think these books are so much fun, there is excitement and a bit of romance.

And the Two Shall Meet
Eric can’t wait to have a wilderness adventure outing. There’s a program for teens that offers experiances in the mountains, deserts, and rivers all over the US and Canda. Amy will be going and although his sister isn’t the outdoor type, Amy wants Tasha to go with them. Amy’s mom of course is a little nervous about it. She’s checked it out, made a zillion phone calls, and warned Amy constantly to be careful. Eric says she’ll be the best there, but Amy says she has to be careful not to show off too much. Erc says tho if he should fall too close to a ledge, she’d save him. So, she tells him don’t trip. Amy convinces Tasha to go by telling her if there’s something she can’t do she’ll “help her and Amy won’t go unless Tasha goes.

There’s a lady named Flor and a man named Dallas (who are their wildness councilor’s). The other people in the group are Brooke, Andy, and Willard. Flora and Dixon are clearly together. Brooke looks to be the athletic type and boy crazy. Willard is scrweny and no one you’d give a second glance. Andy is good looking and a little quiet.

They have to take a brief hike to get to the camp. On the way ot the camp, Andy asks They all pair into conversation (Willlard and Tasha, Eric and Dallas n, and Flora and Brooke). Amy and Andy get into a conversation about sports. When Andy ask Amy is she into sports she fibs a little and tells him she use to be into gymnastics but stopped because it was too competitive(which he seems to underand). His father won a lot of medals and was good at swimming. They find out they both lost a parent. They then reach the campsite and pitch their tent. She gives up on trying to pretend she’s not strong enough. Dallas isn’t exacly happy that they have all the tents pitched by the time they get there. Eric tells Amy privately that the others noticed how fast she got there, and she promises to be more careful.

They notice some platforms in a tree. Tasha seems worried but Amy says they’ll find out. There’s a log and again Tasha worries about it but Amy reminds her Flora said they don’t have to do anything they don’t want to do. They finish the camp and pair off again to a tent. Amy is Brooke’s partner. Flora is Tasha’s. Eric is Dallas and Andy is with Willard. Btooke also wants them to pair up with the guys. She’ll take Andy and Tasha can have Willard. Brooke notices Amy’s necklace and warns her she’d better take it off, but she keeps it on. Amy also notices she has a superior sense of smell when she smells Flora cooking chilli from a distance. When Willard complains about the hike and how long it was, Amy does a quick calculation which gets a disapproving look from Eric. Later, Dallas asks is she a math whiz. Flora suggests that Amy take off her necklace and reluctantly she does later before going to bed. In the middle of the night she’s paid a visit by Eric who apologizes. It’s not the moon light walk she wants but she accepts.

The first day is devoted to excercizing. She wants them to learn to relate to each other as a team and the most important thing is trust. So they do the thing where you fall back and let the other person catch you. After this exercise they try to get the group across the log.So they come up with making a human pyramid. Then they jump from the platforms. Tasha gets scared, walks off, and starts to cry. Amy sound finds out why. The platform feels small and hard to miss. After she makes the leap tho, Amy sees that the appearance is worse than the reality. After there talk, Tasha is able to make the jump. Eric gets a little snippy with Amy after she tries to make the jump. Now it seems like Tasha is in “admiration” of Dallas. Flora is happy that Dallas helped her but says Tasha should want to do things because she wants to on her own not because she wants Dallas to like her. Next they move on to climbing. Eric again gets an attitude when she tries to tell how how to hold the rope, and practically shoves her aside while trying to help Willard. She couldn’t be more confused.

Later, Amy tries to go to Eric to find out what’s wrong, but she overhears a conversation where Ric admits to Dallss how rough it is having a girlfriend whose stronger and stmarter. Dallas give Eric some advice. Don’t let Amy get too full of herself. He doesn’t appreciate how Flora bosses him around. She ust hopes Eric doesn’t pick up his macho attitude. On the way back to her tent, she notices Andy is up stargazing. She joins him and they watch the stars together, He shows her the tar patterns Then they talk about the excersizes (the trust fall). Andy admits he feels like he can trust her (like he knows her). Amy admits she feels the same. Then they start talking about the excersizes again. They find out they’re both “adopted”. Andy mentions Eric, that he’s her boyfriend, but he doesn’t act like one. Amy tries to brush it off like he’s just upset because she corrected him, but Andy says if he were her boyfriend he wouldn’t talk to her like that. Brooke then appears and asks them what they’re doing. She doesn’t believe that there stargazing. Then Dallas finds them and he doesn’t believe it either because the moon is coverking the sky and it’s about to rain. Amy makes it back to her tent. Brooke aks what she was really doing but despite Dallas insinuating they were fooling around she says the were just watching the stars.

The next day, Tasha begs Amy to convince the councellors to put them in the same raft. But the wate is too high from the rain last night. Dallas argues with Flora that it’s just a little over the level. Flora tells him rules are rules. Then they have a private conversation and Dallas wins the argument. Its clear that Dallas is having a negative effect on Eric when he asks do they have to wear the jackets. Flora again tries to correct Dallas on how to paddle and he gives her a dark look. Tasha is in luck. She’s in the boat with Amy and Dallas. Its an easy ride and Tasha decides she likes I But ten Amy hears rapids up ahead. She tries to tell Eric but he’s engrossed in a story Dallas is telling. When they come up on the rapids it’s too late. Eric falls out the boat and Amy is about to jump in but Dallas rescues him. Flora then goes under and Dallas goes for her. Amy’s super strength gets the boat to shore. Andy also goes in. They all surface and Dallas tries to perform CPR but they soon realize Flora is dead.

After this, (in disbelief) they talk about it. They can’t believe how this could happen. Flora had on a life jacket. Eric says it was the undertow that pulled her down. Amy points out that not at first. She surfaced. Andy says he saw something too. He says she was above water, but Dallas pulled her down and hit her in the head with a rock. No one really believes him but he says he saw it. Amy says it was his imagination and there’s no way he saw what he thought he saw. Andy looks at her a minute hurt. Tasha gets hysterical and tries to defend Dallas and he appears and says they’re all shocked and that people say things they don’t really mean. Dallas says the program will continue, They have to learn how to face obstancles and he has to stay busy. They notice Willard is missing and Dallas says he asked to leave the program. Amy is amazed to find that he didn’t call the police, and he’s denying that there was a bruise. Andy says he’s going for a walk (alone). The others think he’s acting weird. Amy says she’ll go check on him. When she finds him, she admits to him she saw the bruise, but she could have struck her head on a rock when she fell. The water could have been murky, He insists tho he saw him. So they sit there in silence. Andy takes off his shirt and dives in. That’s when Amy sees the crescent moon on his shoulder.

She then shows him her mark (which he’s noticed). Now there are no secrets and no turning back. They talk about Project Crescent (which must have had several phases). They talk about her mother being on the project. He admits he always knew he was different. She admits she just found out recently. He tells Amy about the letter his mother wrote him about him being from a Project for clones before she died. She wanted him to know so he wouldn’t waste time searching for a birth parent. Amy tells him what Project Crescent is about. She briefly tells him about her experience with the other Amy’s. Then they talk about their instant connection. Then they kiss. They debate over if because of their genetic similarites they were designed to mate, but then Brooke and Eric catch them together and leave.

Amy thinks if she can just tell Eric Andy is a clone, but Andy says that wouldn’t be fair to him. Amy and Andy realize that Dallas might be from the Organizaiton. Andy says he’ll head beach first and try to talk to Eric. He’ll tell him he’s a clone. When they get back, the others are planning to go repeling. When Amy tries to get Tasha’s attention she just glares at her. In her tent, a device snaps Amy’s foot and Andy is quickly there. She realizes it could have broken her foot. They realize it wasn’t there to trap an animal. Dallas calls and Andy tells Amy to act like nothing happened. Dallas makes a comment that makes Amy realize that Dalass wants to make sure no one tp get awau frp, jo,/ Je wamts tp get jer amd Amdu a;pme/ When they reach the top of the mountain, there on a cliff. Dallas says its meant for beginniners and demonstrates how the repel is done. There’s a 200 ft drop. Amy volunteers to go first. Eric is next and when she gets him alone, she tells him about Andy. And Dallas.

Eric doesn’t believe her, but then she sees Andy falling to fast. Luckily Andy is able to catch himself. She know Dallas s the others won’t listen to them now. So Amy and Andy just decide to leave and go back to the camp together. Dallas leads them through an unfamiliar area. Andy hears traffic so they know they’re going in the right direction. They hear footsteps and Amy gets caught by a bear. Andy rescues her and they run. He tells her when they stop for a break he takes all kinds of martial arts. While crossing a bridge, it starts to sway. Andy grabs her and they start to fall. She then finds herself daggling by a rope. Amy’s never felt so safe or protected. She finds out the ropes were cut. He says he saw someone in the trees. Maybe Dallas. Maybe an anima.

They find out that the store Dallas says he brought Flora to and called the ambulance from has been closed all morning and the telephone isn’t working. They decide to hitchhike and a car pulls over. To Amy’s surpise it’s Devon. Andy tells her to run. Andy admits later he kidnapped him when he was four and took him away. He took him to a hospital and there were needles. He says he’s thought he saw him before. Amy thinks of when she saw him at the hospital with the other Amy’s but he was there when she tried to jump. Now Amy is confused. Andy says he must be from the Organization. Amy says he’s helped her tho and tells him how. Andy says this just means he’s watching her. She wonders why she’s so upset over Andy’s distrust of Mr. Devon. She doesn’t really know Mr. Devon but then again she doesn’t really know Andy either. Anyone can get a crescent moon tatoo and walk fast. Is there connection all in her mind? Is he one of *them*?

She tells him she heard something and he says she heard it too, but then she says it stopped. He says it was just a deer. She hasn’t heard anything. She waits until he’s sleep and slips away. She sees a black Sedan (Mr. Devon) when she opens the door … he’s dead. She glags down a truck and they call the police. It looks like he was kicked in a martial arts blow. There are also candy bars. (He’d left for a brief moment to go to the convince store). The police have Andy and take him away. The police want to see if she has any ID but she slips back into the woods, falls down (from exhaustion) and cries until she falls asleep.

When morning comes, she makes her way back to the campsite. She goes to Eric (whose hurt his ankle). She finds out from Brooke that Dallas went looking for them but gave up. Brooke asks where Andy is and she tells them jail. She asks where Tasha is and they tell her where they’were supposed to repel. Brooke apologizes and confesses she set the trap. When she sees Dallas he’s talking on a cell to someone about the weather and a helicopter. But then if he had a cell phone why didn’t he call someone when Flora died? He tells the person on the end they have to be in the woods somewhere, fly over the grounds, they’re getting paid big bucks to bring them in. Je sees Amy and she confronts him. He won’t give anything up. And pulls her back to the camp ground but she breaks away. She slams her foot down and he starts hopping around. She falls and then has to grab a ledge. Gallas throws her a rope and pulls her up, but when she’s up he ties her hands together. Amy delivers a swift kick to him and he falls off the cliff. Amy hears a helicopter approaching (she’s had to carry Eric piggy back) but before she can think of if she’ll have t o fight the person inside she sees Tasha inside. Amy’s mom and Eric and Tasha’ss parents come to get their kids. After the death of their conselors, the program is suspended. Amy and her mom come back late. They go to check Andy out of jail. Tasha tells Eric Amy might care for Andy but she saved his life. Eric says she doesn’t care for him like a brother. She didn’t kiss him like a brother. When Amy gets back she says Andy already escaped and no one knows ehre he is. Tasha says there’a foldr she saw that said his last name was Decker. She found it in a folder in Dalla’s backpack. In it was something about Any and Amy. Flora’s body is found in a shallow grave. A boy was found in the woods, half man, half savage. Eric says they can look for him. Amy says he’ll turn up on day, but she’s glad there’s only one Eric (and takes his hand).

My Thoughts
I’m looking at all the reviews for this one and maybe I didn’t think as much of this one as some because of the setting. I’m just not into wilderness adventures. The two deaths gave it a little edge, but this series is starting to drag. Clones keep getting introduced but the plot isn’t going anywhere. By the end of the book the new clone is gone and then the next book introducs another and ON and ON and ON. We keep hearing about Project Crescent and we’ve seen some of their attempts but this series has been really slow getting to the end goal and because of that it’s taking me longer to even want to read these books! What I will say is this time the bad guy really was the bad guy. That’s rate!

4.5/5

Wow, what a thrill ride! I really enjoyed this installment of the series.

In this novel Amy and Eric are excited to go on an outdoor camp experience called Wilderness Adventure. They even manage to convince a reluctant Tasha to go along with them. But the adventure soon turns into a nightmare when an expedition goes awry. As the campers struggle to cope with the events unfolding around them, Amy wrestles with a counselor's strange behavior while fighting her sudden feelings for a mysterious camper named Andy.

It's going to be hard not to give anything away on this one, so this review may come off as being a little cryptic.

There are some huge changes to Amy's world in this book. I really enjoyed the expansion of things, and it made me even more invested in seeing where things are going to go. There are some really epic possibilities here, and Amy's going to have to consider a lot more going forward.

Amy's struggles this time felt new. She and Eric are having a bit of a rocky time, and the mysterious kid Andy doesn't help the situation either. Once again, Amy perseveres through her empathy and analytical skills while continuing to learn to compromise since she isn't on the same level as her peers.

Things started slow and peaceful in this book, but things reach a climax when the expedition goes south. I really enjoyed the subtlety of the threat lurking and all the great action afterwards. It really made things more interesting and held my attention. Some of the cues were still a little glaringly obvious, but I'm not too mad about it.

All in all, a great continuation of the series. Can't wait to read more!

This is one of my favorites in the series. I love Andy and Amy together. As a kid and rereading it now, this book felt like the most cohesive storylines of the series — it included the main players, introduced new ones and high stakes, developed a mini mystery within the larger mystery of Project Crescent; and in the end the slight cliffhanger still let the book feel complete. It’s also one of my favorite book covers.

Zanimljivo je to s kampom, super ideja.
Mislila sam da će to biti lagani dječji serijal, ali onda sam došla do djela gdje Flora umire...
Nadam se da će se Andyji vratiti, želim znati više o tome.

Definitely my favorite in the series so far.

As much as I like Eric, I did like Andy a lot… until I realized he’s almost 16 and kissing 12 year old Amy. Ew.

If and I mean if you have read the past five books read this one but if you havn't DO NOT read the summary or even get near this book. Okay, okay I admitt I am being a little forceful but the book gives a little more info about the history of Project Cresent then told. However the title gives it away. "And the Two Shall Meet" well if you look at the second page, the second cover page, there is a pic of a boy. His name is Andy, Amy, get it...anyway he was one of the first batch of clones done in the project of Project Cresent, cresent moon.
So Amy, Eric, and Tasha go to this Wilderness Adventure and the two conselers are weird. One gets killed supposedly by the other one, according to Andy, Andy kisses Amy, a big no no since Amy is going out with Eric, Tasha falls in love with the killer, big mystery(supposedly the organization has something to do with this mysterious junk), Andy and Amy run away, and well it just gets pretty confusing. That is why it gets four stars instead of five.

You may find the charters in this book repelling

The other books in this series are good. However, Marilyn Kaye goes all out in this one. It has captured the original mystery feeling. You can relate to the people and what they are feeling. There are plots and subplots. There are more twists and turns. All along you are so busy trying to catch your breath, that you do not have time to figure out who the bad guys are. The story takes place on a wilderness outing where there is rafting and repelling.

As with all these books, the beginning was slow, but when the pace picks up, it's really intense. And this was the most intense yet! People were dying left and right, and Tasha twice used the word "sexy." Some very unexpected shenanigans for our clone protagonist and her friends!
