I have just bought this book the Traveler's Guide, no not really a traveler's guide to the World but a guide to life, the New Testament. Although it does take you through the regions and countries that Jesus and subsequently his disciples took to spread the Good news. This comes with photographs and commentaries on a particular area or topic spoken of in the Gospel

A book that I have in other versions but this one just reminded me we are all on a journey here on planet Earth. And as one who has enjoyed many an adventure exploring this world of ours, these are far surpassed by the journey through this traveler's guide with the One who created it all.

In the introduction it starts.. The Bible tells the story of the special relationship between God and people. The story is captivating because it raises questions that humans have been asking for thousands of years. "Where do we come from"? "What is the meaning of our life on earth"? The bible answers these questions by describing the lives of men and women who trusted God as a solid foundation for their lives and a source of meaning for their existence
.
However this Traveler's guide is more than about people in a past life, it is a book for everyone, you and I as we are all on the same journey and it is the only authentic Travellers guide that does give us the answers to life. I for one really don't want to live without it. The same way when travelling to another country one doesn't leave without taking a Lonely Planet Guide to that particular country.

This book is I believe essential reading who is on a journey in our World to understand life beyond what we see and know here and now to life beyond the grave.

I bought this book thinking I would reference it often to get an understanding about the practical realities going on during certain passages of the bible. I've found that I rarely use the concordances and haven't found any of them indispensable.
