I count myself blessed for having read this book, given to me by a friend, who was clearing out some older books from her library. What an inspiring account of a powerful woman!
This one is a keeper! I highly recommend it for every Christian who wonders about their calling, how to flesh it out, how to face challenges and most importantly, how to live an exceptional, unforgettable, life as a lover of Jesus in a cynical world. Her love for God's Holy Word, her passion to teach its riches, and her energetic pursuit of young people before they became cynical adults, is beyond commendable - it is inspiring!
Henrietta's mission field began Hollywood and California and went on to impact the world! Need I say more?
Hunt this book down from used bookstores, garage sales, or from wherever you might find old books, because it is well worth the read.

This book shares a great story of a woman who serves God. Her being dedicated to her ministry influenced me as a student and a young kid to explore more about life and to find what was God’s plan for me and also be dedicated to it. Men are usually the leaders, especially in some ministries. But Henrietta showed us that God has different plans for each of us, living beings. Like us, women, we can also be dedicated to our passion even if that passion is usually for men to do/make, especially if it flows with God’s plan.

This book is very easy to read and understand. While reading this book, I have learned a lot, realized some things, and also helped me understand God more. This also might help many teenagers like me to be influenced by Henrietta.

I think this book would be an excellent help for teaching Sunday school administration.
I think I'll have to read up more on Miss Mears, however, as I felt that at times the biographers who wrote this book were clearly much less spiritual than she seemed to be. Often this causes problems in biographies of strewing some of the doctrines of the person being written of. I'm not sure if that was the case with her, as I was relatively unaware of her before reading this book (I had recently read Billy Graham's autobiography, which is the first source that I recall having heard about her from).
She seemed to be operating under the gift of administration, and there was much deep and profound wisdom in some of her sited quotes.
