With a passion for writing, Ricketta has been putting pen to paper since junior high school by keeping her journal filled with poems. By 9th grade, Ricketta - or Pinky Dior, as she is fondly called in the literary world - had finished her first manuscript. With the encouragement of a teacher, Pinky was inspired to pursue a career in writing. Now, at age 22, Pinky has several short stories: “Hazel Eyes”, “The Diamond Exchange”, “Valentine’s Day Massacre”, “Pink Lipstick & Pistols” short story series. She’s also featured in two anthologies, Almighty Dolla and Bitches Ain’t Loyal.
Pinky has a beautiful baby girl who she grinds hard for. When she was born, Pinky fell off track with her writing, but she got back on board and now nothing will stop her! She has eight unpublished novels and many more started on her laptop. With more work by Pinky on the way, make sure you keep an eye out for this talented author, because she’s here to stay.
I enjoyed reading Hazel Eyes by Pinky Dior. I'm promise that I give Pinky Dior chance to read her book. This is my first time reading from this author. Pinky Dior did a good job. Hazel Eyes is a good book to read.
I like the concept and vibe for this book. It's dealing with a lot of emotional. This book made me cry because it's too emotional and saddest to me but I'm not a emotional person. I like when Hazel is over-protecting to her sister ( Hazee). She is a really good person.
I didn't like Dinero and Hazel's mom are forcing Hazel to kill her mom. I didn't like Dinero because he is a cold-hearted, asshole, and selfish motherfucker. Also, I didn't like Hazel's ex because he didn't telling the truth to Hazel.
I understand that Hazel didn't get change to tell her sister about she killed their mother because she didn't have no choice. So far, the book is short-story and sad at the same time but this book is really good though. I give this author and book a five stars because Pinky Dior deserves it. I'm looking forward to read part 2 of Hazel Eyes and another book from her.
Pinky Dior's " Hazel Eyes" was one of, if not THE best short story I've read in a while. It's about Hazel, an 18 year old girl who finds herself in a lose-lose situation. One single event changes her life forever. I give " Hazel Eyes" 4.5 stars. Can't wait to see what else Ms. Pinky Dior has in store!
Hazel went crazy and start killing everybody that she knew that was paid to kill her. When she went to warn Antonio she found him with another woman and killed him and her. Book was good wanted to read more.
Hazel Eyes got right to the point. With action from the start to the ending. I say like mother like daughter as Hazel take off where her mother Danita left off from. Even though it's not what she want to do, but it came natural.
Would like to see what else happens and see what's up with Hazel sister Hazee. :)
I am blown away!! Hazel Eyes had my attention from beginning to end. Hazel and Hazee are definitely sisters driven with vengence in their heart and with good reason!!! This story engulfed rage that Pinky brought to detail in every chapter that she touched with her pen. Fab job Pinky Dior!! I look forward to reading more of her work!!!
This story packed a lot of fast paced drama in such a short story. Hazel Cruz is put in an awkward position by Dinero, the man she knew as her stepfather, that will change her life forever.
While I have quite a few of Pinky Dior's books, this is my first time reading anything by her. I was very impressed & will be reading part 2 next.

This was an impactful short read. However, I was dismayed with the formating of this book. It wasn't grammar issues, but some words were jammed together. Hazel Eyes didn't read like it was written by a seasoned writer, but make no mistake, it was a fast paced story with a lot of nonstop action.
First time ever reading from this author. She is a great writer.I was so turned into this book.It was a page turner from the beginning to the end.I couldn't stop reading it at all.I can't wait to start the second one.I can't believe how it played out I thought she was going to be in the second book
