Interdiction

Rate this book
INTERDICTION is the parallel lives of two young men growing up in today’s global culture and how their lives are changed by the threat of terrorism. One is born in Iraq to educated parents and the other is a young American boy—the same age – born on his father’s earlier duty stations in Pakistan. DJ as he is called by his friends speaks several different Middle Eastern dialects as a result of his father—a Brigadier General in the US Army—moving his family with him as he moved up in the ranks. DJ graduates from school and is accepted at West Point following his father’s footsteps while Haydar, the Iraqi youth, is influenced by glowing stories of Al Qaeda and becomes an Islamic Muhadeen. During the hunt for terrorists that have stolen a formidable high energy Bio-chem from a Pakistani laboratory, DJ and his Homeland Security team get involved in the first use of an airborne laser as a weapon of war and a possible DNA connection to OSBL. DJ and Haydar collide when terrorists plan to poison the Guadalupe River in Gruene Texas on a busy summer weekend with students from Texas State University rafting and floating the river. The chase action and tracking of the terrorists across the globe to their target in the United States makes for an exciting adventure.
