Mother Rising

Rate this book
Different from a baby shower, where gifts are lavished upon the soon-to-be-born child, a blessingway ceremony honors the mother-to-be and creates a circle of support that will cradle her as she prepares to give birth. Surrounded by the most important women in her life, she can explore the challenges and joys that lie before her, gaining a sense of power and confidence that will help her rise to motherhood. MOTHER RISING shows women how to organize and personalize a blessingway for the expecting friends and family-an experience that will give the mother-to-be the best possible gifts of deep happiness, serenity, and abundance of love.

not your moms baby shower

This book is amazing and opened my eyes to a beautiful way to nurture and support a mom to be. My daughter asked to incorporate a coupe of traditions instead of games, but I’m so enamored by the ritual ideas, I’m going to take some of the ideas in the book and create a smaller ritual intended to guide and support her in the birth of her first child.

Super practical book to guide the reader step by step in the Blessingway organisation. It also gives lists of symbols related to food, flowers, colours, crystals and much more. It was a very helpful tool to create my first Blessingway structure. Absolutely recommended :)
(It does not explain to deeply the origines of the rituals, so you might need another book for that)

I attended my very first Blessingway Ceremony in the Summer of 2022 and I absolutely fell in love with the whole concept of it. This book opened my mind greater to the whole concept of Blessingways and I look forward to incorporating it into my lifestyle.
