The one and only travel guide I will use. I have used it many times as a quick reference when I am traveling, and the recommendations for food and lodging have never failed me. It is definitely tailored to people in their 20s and 30s. My only complaint is that the book only covers certain Interstates and leaves other areas relatively untouched. Still, it is a great guide book, especially if you are making a serious road trip.
I haven't road-tested this book yet but I sat down to flip through it this afternoon and ended up reading it cover to cover. Very rarely are travel guides this readable. Great organization, enjoyable style.
I had an earlier edition that I read to shreds planning lots of trips, both real and imaginary, back and forth across the country. I love the low-cost, off-beat emphasis and have been led to many great restaurants and attractions by their recommendations. This will inspire you to hit the roads!
