The Quaran fits logically with the historical background of the book. It was written by an illiterate man who knew stories from the Bible and decided to create his own religion after experiencing odd and disturbing images. The Quaran takes the vast majority of it's teachings and narratives straight from the Bible. The changes (additions and substractions) are what one would expect from someone who heard but did not read the Bible. The Quaran also contains a surprisingly large amount of pettiness. The most common teaching is not about the character of God or love toward your fellow man. It is about respect to a prophet and judgment toward those who ignore him. Muhammad regularly refers to himself as a second Noah, because we will all be destroyed for ignoring him as they were in Noah's day. The Quaran is stories and teachings from the Bible mixed with warnings to obey Muhammed and his words or else.
Since it was Ramadan I had to finish this whole 600+ page Quran in 30 days. Although the Quran isn't just for Muslims. People also read it to learn about the religion. There are multiple versions of the Quran and by that, I mean in different languages not just Arabic including English, Korean, etc.
this was the best book ever, it changed my religion from Mormon to radical Islam, its a must read. I feel closer to my brothers in Iraq fighting against the US government. PRAISE ALAH.
