Η Μυστική Θεολογία του Διονυσίου του Αρεοπαγίτου είναι ένα έργο που εισάγει στο χώρο της σιωπής, που σκοπεύει το ανείπωτο. Ο λόγος του δεν είναι "φιλοσοφικός" με τη σημερινή, τρέχουσα σημασία της λέξης, γιατί αφετηρία του έχει τον "φόβον" εκείνον που είναι η βασιλική προς την "σοφία" οδός. Η παρουσία αυτού του "φόβου" είναι άρρηκτα συναρτημένη με αυτό που οι καιροί μας ασταμάτητα και μεθοδικά αποδιώχνουν: την επίγνωση του μυστηρίου. Και χωρίς την επίγνωση του μυστηρίου, ή, έστω την υποψία για τα όρια της ανθρώπινης λογικής, ο λόγος αυτού του έργου δύσκολα γίνεται βατός.

The more I read, the more i get confused. But this makes me think deeply. Whatever i have been taught about religions is stupid and baseless, and like a parrot i have been following the same. The so called religion is nothing but a medium for exploitation and tool to control the freedom of Human beings. Now it is time to open my eyes.... Ouch it hurts... it has been closed for a long time !

Πολύ ενδιαφέρον βιβλίο με αποσπάσματα από ομιλίες του Osho κυρίως με αφορμή το σχολιασμό ρήσεων που αποδίδονται στον "Άγιο Διονύσιο τον Αρεοπαγίτη".

Ως προς την καταγωγή των ρήσεων (μιας και δεν διευκρινίζεται επαρκώς στον πρόλογο ή σε άλλο σημείο του βιβλίου), αυτές προέρχονται από τα επονομαζόμενα "Αρεοπαγητικά κείμενα" που πρωτοεμφανίστηκαν τον 6ο αιώνα, πιθανόν γράφτηκαν τον 4ο αιώνα και από κάποιους αποδόθηκαν στον Δονύσιο τον Γάζη, μονοφυσίτη επίσκοπο. Έχουν δε αναγνωριστεί στα κείμενα αυτά αρκετά στοιχεία νεοπλατωνισμού. Δεν είναι ρήσεις του γνωστού Αγίου Διονυσίου επισκόπου Αθηνών, παρόλο που συχνά γίνεται αυτή η σύγχιση λόγω των στοιχείων αποφατικής θεολογίας που περιέχουν.

Με αφορμή λοιπόν συγκεκριμένες ρήσεις, ο Osho αναπτύσσει τις απόψεις του περί Θεού ή μάλλον της ιδέας που έχουμε για το Θεό, περισσότερο σε αυτό το βιβλίο του από ό,τι σε οποιοδήποτε άλλο, αλλά και για τις θρησκείες και την ιδέα που αυτές έχουν δημιουργήσει για το Θεό με στόχο την εκμετάλλευση των ανθρώπων. Το βιβλίο είναι μάλλον απαραίτητο για τους συμπαθούντες τον Osho, αλλά μπορεί να φανεί χρήσιμο και ενδιαφέρον σε όλους όσους θα ήθελαν να γνωρίσουν περισσότερα για τις θεολογικές απόψεις του, ακόμα και για την αποφατική θεολογία. Χρήσιμο επίσης σε όσους είναι σε πορεία πνευματικής αναζήτησης και αμφισβήτησης της επικρατούσας ορθόδοξης θεολογίας και θρησκείας αλλά και άλλων θρησκειών.

Θεωρώ ότι είναι από τα αξιόλογα βιβλία του Osho, αν και όχι από τα κορυφαία. Και διαφωνώ με την προσθήκη τη φράσης "Το ελληνικό ζεν" στον τίτλο διότι αν και στα Αρεοπαγητικά κείμενα υπάρχουν στοιχεία νεοπλατωνισμού, το συγκεκριμένο βιβλίο δεν αφορά στον "ελληνικό" τρόπο του "ζεν" και το ότι ο αποφατισμός είναι κατά κάποιον τρόπο το "ελληνικό ζεν" είναι μία ερμηνεία του εκδότη της ελληνικής έκδοσης με την οποία πολλοί μπορεί να διαφωνήσουν (ο αγγλικός τίτλος είναι "Theologia Mystica: Discourses on the Treatise of St. Dionysius").

Some 20 years or more ago there were hardly any books on Angels available. Now all that has changed. However, few books deal with the Angelic Hierarchies with the spiritual perception of Dionysus. His writings influenced all the great medieval scholars and are probably the most authoritative exposition on Angels that exists in the public domain. This is a book to savour.

I have come across a very beautiful book, written somewhere in the Middle Ages by a certain man known as Dionysius Exegius. His book is 'Theologica Mystica'. He says in that book that the highest knowledge of God is through what he calls in Greek 'agnostos', which means unknowing. You must have heard the word 'agnostic', it comes from the same root, agnostos. Agnostos means unknowing. And this Dionysius says that God is known only by unknowing. No need to be worried about the concept; no need to ac-cumulate knowledge, theories, doctrines about God; forget all about the word and the theory. You be simply interested in your happiness, in your bliss, and one day you will find God has entered in you. It is another name for ultimate bliss.
