A Must for Anyone Considering a Home Remodel or Addition.
This is an excellent reference for anyone considering a home remodel or an addition. It speaks to the do-it-yourself OR anyone who will be hiring a contractor. Mr. Provey hasn’t forgotten a thing, not how to determine how much space you’ll have for socks, not what younger children might need to make their rooms as accessible for them as possible, not the fact that some people need custom closets for model railroads. He takes you from studs to doors, and floor to ceiling.

Had a few good ideas and resources. Nothing groundbreaking or that you wouldn't be able to find in a good internet search. Felt more like a catalog than anything.
Visual stunning! I wish I had closets like these! I enjoyed the before & after pictures & appreciated the "Don't Forget" check lists including all the items you might want to store in each particular closet. Also included are facts, tips, options for each project, and step-by-step instructions. Layout is clear with multiple colorful illustrations on each page. The final test would be to discover if I can follow the directions to "Frame a Closet" found towards the back of the book & afterwards install a "Rail-and-Standard Wire System" found towards the front of the book. As a complete novice I wonder how I can fit the one inside the other?!! I think I would refer to another book for more instructions on actually building a closet from scratch.
Not so much a book you read as a book you flip through haphazardly. Quite a few suggestions that I will take to heart when I put my closets together in my new house. A tad on the side of Oprah style gigantic closets that don't apply to most of us, but other than that, very helpful. Checked out from public library.
A how to book. I've discovered, without adequate space and/or money none of this is useful. You can't create a walk in closet when what they are showing you is an entire room given over to closet.
