DNF 60% in. This book was already just an absolute shit show. But then HOME BOY WAS TOTALLY FINE BONING HIS COUSIN?!?!?! The author drops that their cousins, tries to throw in a sex scene and then clarifies they aren’t actually related after the MMC is like well we should probs use protection cuse we don’t want to procreate. LIKE WHAT. Idc that they ended up not being related. The second that bomb dropped I wanted to bleach my brain. Noooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo. Jail.

Wicked Beautiful Lies is the first book I have read by L.A. Ferro. Let me tell you it was really good. I enjoyed Ferro’s writing style and the story captured my attention from the beginning. It captured my attention so much that I completed it in one sitting. I was addicted to know what was coming next and why the FMC was going by a different name and why her father changed not only hers but his when they moved. I will say I did love the slow build into learning the whys, who’s, and the plot that followed. In most cases I find that I usually can figure out what is going to happen in books. But I didn’t with this one! I found out afterwards that some of the characters we meet in this book does have a book of their own now I will be going back ASAP to read it and her other backlist because I don’t think I can get enough of her writing and want to experience more. I am determined to see if her other books are similar to this one and will have me asking “what is going to happen next” instead of “I saw that coming!”.

THEY DID THE HORIZONTAL HOKEY POKEY WHEN THEY THOUGHT THEY WERE COUSINS! AND THEN THEY STILL ALMOST DO IT AGAIN BEFORE ONE OF THEM IS LIKE OH WE SHOULD PROBS USE PROTECTION SO WE DON'T HAVE INCEST OFFSPRING!

A rant.
This book was weird.
There was so much going on.
Ellis - were we supposed to like him? Ship him and the FMC? I don’t really know…
I thought it was going to be a ‘why-choose?’ book with the way it was going but nope, she was sleeping with both but I wouldn’t even call it a love triangle.
The MMC is in love with 2 women .. but again, not a love triangle.
The MMC was supposed to be cold and detached but sweet for the FMC and he’s hot and cold but then he has a girl best friend he gossips with on the sofa while drinking wine? (seems a lil out of character)
Why did every single character have an agenda against the FMC or MMC?
I feel like the author had a bunch of ideas and instead of figuring out where they fit, they all got chucked into one book instead of putting every idea into this book, done properly, these ideas could have been spread out over a series of books with multiple characters.
Also just to get this off my chest and this isn’t just about this book but the trend I’m noticing at the moment (especially with Booktok books) is that because the unhinged ‘dark’ romance books are popular at the moment it just seems like everyone is trying to one up everyone else and try to write something outrageous because OF COURSE people are going to talk about it and then OF COURSE people are going to buy it to see what all the fuss is about and who cares if it gets bad reviews, a sale is a sale right? But what happened to writing good stories? What happened to fleshed out characters? What happened to making the reader feel?
The Mortal Instruments- when I read that and they thought they might be brother and sister but fought it? I FELT the attraction between them, I FELT the angst that they couldn’t be together, I UNDERSTOOD when jealousy came up. I was PRAYING it turned out to be a lie so they could be together, I WANTED them to be together….. This book, they think they’re cousins, we’re supposed to be thinking they’re cousins and they fuck anyway so we’re just supposed to be like ‘oh, we’ll if they’re okay with it’ I don’t even know why they were together. I didn’t feel anything for them, with them or between them.

I started reading this because of TikTok and let me tell you: WHAT THE ACTUAL HELL?
1- There's incest here (1st cousins). Do they end up not being related? yes. But still, they do the deed while knowing they are cousins so... Yikes!
2- the MMC supposedly loves the FMC (and I have no idea why, cause, according to him, she was ugly as hell).
3- then just after they do the deed for the first time, FMC catches MMC making our with Girl best friend. Yikes.
4- the girl best friend who is not the love of his life or whatever, who he still loves, though it's a different type of love or whatever. Yikes.
5- this girl bff is still around and the guy feels his chest hurt when he sees her.
6- btw She's a total knock out, so pretty she could.be the next Kim Kardashian, or maybe Aphrodite! Wow this girl is hot!
7- yet a teenager decides he doesn't love knock out (though he can still grab her amazing ass hwile making out with her), because he's in love with his ugly ass cousin. Yikes. (Come on authors, not even in fiction do we believe that a hormonal teenager would prefer the ugly ducking with flat chest to the next miracle of humanity, her the Beyonce Knowles of the book
Anyway, overall hot garbage tbh. And the kinky sex, *eye roll*. I skimmed to the end to see what happens, and guess what, the ugly ducking becomes friends with the Cleopatra of the book, but the MmC makes it clear to her that he loves his Bff and that's that.

I can’t say many books have me swooning within the first few chapters but this one…OMG it was next level hot! I fell in love with Mason’s character in the Delicate Vows Duet and his story did not disappoint! I was immediately hooked with the lies, secrets, and taboo romance. The twist had me literally gasping out loud! AMAZING!!

Lennox works at the club Covet as a bartender which has two levels. She works on the first level where anyone willing to pay can come in and level two where her boss and roommate Ellis asked her to work for the VIP’s. Lennox sees a man and he wants her but she says no. He offers her a lot of money and she agrees to 15 minutes. The attraction is intense. The next day Lennox goes to her day job at Lark she’s been there a month and us about to meet her boss MaryK. When they see each other they both know that they met at Covet. Lennox and Mason are both hiding things but they can’t stay away from each other. Great characters and storyline. Highly recommended, Amazing Book. I love Mason and Lennox and the supporting characters are awesome. The character development is top notch. There are so many twists and turns you get dizzy. I absolutely love this book.

I started and finished this book in one sitting. I was up until 5 AM I just could not put the book down. From the minute I read the Prologue I was immediately sucked in. At first I liked Charlie(Lennox) with Ellis I kept going back and forth between Ellis and Mason . Lol. I’m like keep them both 😂😂😂. But I absolutely love Mase and Charlie . The twist of events in this book holy. It’s like when the bomb drops an even bigger bombs drops. I’m just sitting here like W T F just happened 🤯 and the ending . Wth there has to be another book coming because there’s no way that’s the end.

Does it apply to Knox… or someone else?
This story will keep you guessing who did what to who? Then you meet another person that makes you second guess everything you think have figured out. Are they who they think it is or are they projecting what they want. There is steam, spice, deception, lust, love, and longing all twisted together into an amazing story!
Yet another book from L.A. Ferro that will make want to put life on hold to read just one more page!!
Saddle up ladies… this will be the best game is clue you have read in a long time!

Oh my gosh this book where do I begin? Even though this is a stand alone, I felt like there was a book before it, since the author would introduce a character with a back story or info that wasn't important to this story line. Like the Lykos brother back story, the small amount of details we get about William or how Mason was in love with GiGi but she's engaged to someone else who doesn't like him. There were so many pages of this book that I just straight up skipped to get to the end of the story. Spoiler but I can not believe these two teenagers had sex WHEN THEY THOUGHT THEY WERE FIRST COUSINS. Even when Mason came back and they were adults Lennox/Knox/Charlie still had sex THINKING THEY WERE FIRST COUSINS. 🤮 This is the first book I've read by this author and will be my last, sorry.

This is my second arc book by L.A. Ferro and there is no doubt I will continue to read very book she writes. Wicked Beautiful Lies is dark, twisty, suspenseful, and enviously romantic. The push and pull between the main characters is so intoxicating that you simply cannot put the book down until you know what happens next! I read this so quick because I NEEDED to keep going! Bravo L.A. Ferro, bravo!!!!

I have been waiting for Mason's book since you met him in Gigi books.
Mason moved away 4 years ago because he was in love with Gigi but she was with someone else. Mason made a lot of rules for himself so he would not feel anything again, all he does is work and go to covet.
Lennox has been in hiding for 10 years; she works as a bartender as Covet and at Lark for maryk, but she has not met him yet as he is away on business.
Lennox goes to work at the club Covet and is asked to work the VIP bar as she can make more money, that's where she meets Mason and he offers her money to go into one of the VIP rooms, she does but only on her terms.
When Mason goes into the office and mets Lennox, he did not know she was his EA, Mason thought Lennox was a man, but then he when he finds out that she is his EA, he is not happy as her only wants to work with men and then after talking to her he realises it Knox from the club and he is demand to find out all her secrets.
There is so much more to Mason and Lennox story then them just meeting now and so many ups and downs and a lot of secrets come out about the past and now.
Can they both survive them and find each other again?

I said that throughout several moments in L.A. Ferro’s “Wicked Beautiful Lies.” As Fergie would say, it had me, ‘trippin’, stumblin’, and fumblin’”. But, things are not what they appear to be, first and foremost.
How can I possibly be so drawn to Mason by page 3? Although he said all the right things for me, it had me promptly asking so many questions: why only once? Why can’t they be together? Why oh why. And then there’s Ellis - he says the right things too! Oh, my dear Ellis. Why Choose? Why do you have to Choose? So, I stayed up all night to discover the why’s and the Are they or aren’t they? That’s what “Wicked Beautiful Lies” will do to you - worth losing sleep over.

I def enjoyed this book so much i devoured it in one sitting. Granted I’ll be tired as shit in 3 hours when i have to go to work - it was worth it. The twists, the turns, seeing everything come full circle and a never ending love that sent two people down a path that was destined to cross again was perfect.
Loved the setting of this book and how everything flowed.
Enjoyed getting to know the characters but now there are side characters i wish would have their one stories too.
A good read that is worth being sleep deprived for.

Wicked Beautiful Lies is my first book by this author and I'm so glad I read this book. This story is filled with mystery and intrigue from the prologue on. I was hooked from the get go.
I was kept guessing though out the book and every time I thought I had the answer, more questions came up. It definitely kept me on the edge of my seat and I was left second guessing my conclusions.
Along the mystery and intrigue were some very steamy scenes that had me fanning myself from all the heat.
The surprises were just that.... surprises. The revelations are definitely "ahhhhhh" moments.
Though there were times I did question if the topic might be a bit much for me, it worked itself out in the end. You'll definitely want to read the trigger warnings before starting this book. I don't read those ahead of time, because I want to give stories the chance without preconceived notions. I find that it works for me, as I've learned things about myself that I wouldn't have if I skip stories because of trigger warnings. But, if you know for sure what your triggers are, play it safe and read the warnings.

A masterpiece. I've always liked a book that gets you hooked so much that you can't put it down. Finished reading this book in night. Honestly, for a book like this i'll gladly sacrifice my sleep. The twists and turns, the romance, the spice, it was all perfect. Mason and Charlie were amazing together. Oh, and Mason's dirty mouth, god help me, I litrelly melted after reading this. I absolutely, completely loved this book.

What a tangled web we weave. Have you ever seen the inside of a hand patched quilt? The strings go everywhere, with no patterns. I feel like this is the perfect example of Mason’s story. The lies inter-tangle and lap. Mason and Charlie’s past lives were built on lies but their future is built on truths. I love how L.A. weaved this story and sewed us a beautiful ending. And the spice! Whew! Let me just tell you, I needed a glass of water! But what a trip it was! Highly recommend!

I almost dnf when the reason why their relationship was so forbidden came to light, but was glad I came to realise it was most likely just another plot twist before I decided to stop reading!

This book was swoon worthy. I feel like this book literally grabbed my attention and would not let go. It had the twists and turns, but plenty of spice. By the end I really was surprised to see what happened. This book is the epitome of “just one more page!”

Masons story is everything and so much more! He finally got his happy ending! The story that unfolded from the pages of this book was just so fitting for Masons story. You definitely get to know the true Mason! Definitely a good read! Mason is a true dream boat!

Mason and Charlie (Lennox) gosh it was definitely unexpected and I liked how it took forever to figure out what the taboo was but holy crap! I was like wait a minute that can’t be and it just kept going back and forth until you were like finally. It was definitely a roller coaster but I loved everything about this!

I absolutely loved this book! This was my first book by L.A Ferro and I will definitely read more of her books!

I personally did NOT fancy this book. I felt awkward being in the middle of BANGING COUSINS. Then at some point, they were maybe brother and sister?!?!? Yes, if they found out and got weirded out like me, then maybe I could've tolerated it BUT no. They found out and it's like the wind blew off their clothes. I'M SORRY WHAT. I just couldn't do that. I was lowkey team Ellis too like he was fineee. The spice in this book was good but I just wasn't impressed. Also some of the wording throughout the book had me rereading over and over again.
