First came the apocalypse, then came the aftermath. Now it’s time to fight for their new home.

After fighting off the Infected, Lillie and her friends left chaos and death behind them when they established a new home in the mountains of Oregon. Their cave might not be much, but it's home and the residents are family.

Until members of their group begin to turn…

Change is the only constant, as Lillie’s premonitions present themselves in unexpected nightmares. As they successfully rescue the small group that helped return Ian to her side, haunting dreams and flashes of turmoil confuse her. Is she seeing the future or the past?

The new breed of Infected has evolved. They hunt in packs and ambush their prey like carnivorous beasts. With their escaped friend joining their ranks and taking with him intimate knowledge of the caves, this small cave family is in more danger than ever before.

Are Lillie’s dreams warnings of what’s to come?

Can this cave family defend themselves against winter and the Infected?

Jessica Gomez once again has fans on their toes in this sequel to Infected. The characters face bigger challenges, with greater odds in this apocalyptic novel. A new breed of infected, their own turning against them, and brutal attacks are only some of the things they have to face in this post-apocalyptic world.

Great book!

I enjoyed this book! I wished I would have found this series sooner. It is so good. Exactly what I want from a post-apocalyptic book. The characters are amazing. The scenes and descriptions are so enticing. I get drowned into this world and don't want to leave. The storyline is wonderful. I can't wait to pick up the next book in this series.

*** SPOILERS BELOW ***

This series just keeps getting better and better. We get to find out a bit more here in the whole love triangle of Lillie, Ian, and Mason. I don’t like how quick the “relationship” just ended between Lillie and Mason. Not saying I wanted her to choose him. It’s just it was a bit sad she was telling him she loved him and the next day Ian is back and she’s running in his arms. I hope someone comes along and Mason can find his happily ever after as well. I like the whole power thing in this zombie apocalypse series. Although it is pissing me off how they’re not being “warned” in enough time to make a difference. How they did not notice Dane’s behavior after having both Jeff and Becky back to back acting the same way was a bit frustrating! He was a father figure to them
And Rosie being the Mother figure. I hate how that ended with them. This book ended in a mighty cliffhanger and I’m ready to jump into book 3!

Wow! Wow! Wow! That was some ride. I received this book yesterday and couldn't put it down. It follows on from "Infected" which can be read as a standalone book but this one ends on a cliff hanger. I have now started reading the third book "Evolved." I have to find out what happens to Ian, Lillie, Azami and James, plus all the other side characters. I am enjoying this story and I love Azami. She is so cute.

I recommend this book but you do need to read "Infected" first to understand what has happened and is happening.

I’m LOVING This Series!!

This series is SO GOOD!! Thank goodness it’s a finished series because each book ends with a crazy cliffhanger!! I need to buy the next book NOW!!!

It’s such a different kind of post apocalyptic, and I read a lot of these. A big part of it found family and some romance. But it balances well with the crazy action. The whole sixth sense thing is a really cool concept too.

If you enjoy post apocalyptic stories, with tons of action and violent scenes, found family, good friends and romance, YOU WILL LOVE THIS!!!

Both love and hate this one. It's a slow day to day journey towards the cliffhanger ending, which is given to us pretty clearly early on, we just wait for it to actually happen while the characters ignore every sign they were given (anyway you know what, I'm taking a star away now that I think about it). I need to know what happens with all these people though. Really upset about a certain character's death, and the heartbreaking reason behind it.

IMMUNE 2021 edition
I read the first three books of the Flash Series when they where first released. The series has been given a rewrite and Immune which is book two in the series still has all the intrigue and mystery with some additional writing bringing this story to the front of my reading list again. I love this story Lillie's dreams are so vivid they could be real, or are they?

Immune

This would’ve been a five. Reason why I’m giving in the three is because I hate when the book ends and it leaves it open. I feel it forces you to read the next book because you need to find out what the end is about. Whereas in the first book when I finished reading it, I wasn’t forced to continue. I wanted to continue

So far I’ve been enjoying this series but in this book I came to an abrupt halt and will not read any further books by this author!

She used the word drug as a substitute for dragged. It is absolutely not a substitute and a big NO for me.

That’s it I’m done with this.

I love this series.

Somehow I missed reviewing INFECTED. IMMUNE is just as awesome as the first book in the series. I cannot wait to find out what happens in the next book. I read both books practically without stopping. I love the way this author writes.

Immune? Maybe Not!!

Family is important in any time or place. Love is the most important key! How awful would it be to lose the sense of love for your family, your child, your beloved mate?? This is what is happening in this series to this family...

Great read

Immune started a bit slow no real thriller just the extended family living their lives in the cave. Wasn't till the ending that the real story started. The ending was a total cliffhanger.

The exciting sequel to the Infected begins after Ian and Lillie's daughter is recovered from the kidnapper, but Ian must return out into the world filled with infected to save a group of Immune who are trying to stay alive. While he is gone, Lillie continues to have dreams that seem to predict the future. The only problem is will her dream be able to save them in time before the infected attack their safe home or is she projecting her thoughts and sending the infected their plans killing their chances to stay alive?

When James finds out the secret Lillie has been desperately trying to keep, he is torn between trying to protect Lillie from his brother and anger because his hero has been taken away from him.
Will he be able to forgive his brother when or if he returns?
Her daughter's birthday is approaching quickly, but Ian hasn't returned because things are not going as expected. Will they be able to have the party or will the Immune be attacked and become part of the Infected?

This amazing book is not only a page turner, but a great look into human nature during the remaking of humanity. The next book can't come to soon...please hurry and write more!!!

I've been waiting forever for this book to come out! I have to say it was was well worth the wait. OMG it continues from INFECTED which is awesome by the way so make sure you read that one before this or you'll be missing out and probably will get lost in this great world.

Ian and Lillie are great main characters and in this one the character building continues nicely where we get to learn more details and such. This is a rather creative world Jessica Gomez has built. I love the premonitions twist in this to make this not your everyday zombie book.

The zombies are smarter in this one and seem to be evolving a some which makes the adventure much more fun. Now the horrible part is more waiting for the next one lol.

I just have to mention I simply love this cover as well!

I would highly recommend to the zombie lovers and end of the world type readers out there. This is a great series to dive head first into.

This is just as good as book one, there's action, hope , love, loss, and lots of OMG moments.

Lillie is having dreams of the infected, specifically Jeff. In her dreams the infected get into the cave and take someone, she can't see who. Are her dreams prophetic or as Ian and everyone else hopes just dreams.
Let me warn you, once you pick up this series you won't want to put it down. And the end of this book is one hell of a cliff hanger.

I suggest you don't start reading late at night because you won't want to stop. The author puts enough detail 8n9t the story so you can picture it all in your head, but not enough details that storyline gets bogged down. I have book 3 so I'm jumping into Iqn and Willie's world again right now.

Reviewer for Romance Authors That Rock. I give the 5 thumping hearts.

Jessica Gomez how could you?!? Leaving me holding my breath is just cruel!! I love this series, these characters, and this story line. The zombies are getting smarter, the survivors are honing their gifts, and a little bit of love story to boot. What more could you ask for? Another book of course!! Loved it and can't wait for book 3!
