To survive they must trust each other. Only...can they?

Winter, a professional thief who can manipulate others' biologies by touch, accidentally "healed" her former partner--and former vampire--Sebastian, whom she secretly loves. Her healing created a symbiotic pairing between them that neither of them wants.

Nathanial, a sexy thousand-year-old vampire and Sebastian's ex-lover, talks Sebastian and Winter into stealing evidence that will expose all vampires to the world. But Nathanial is a puppet-master who doesn't believe in falling in love with humans, leaving Winter unsure of his real feelings for her once he seduces her, or how he feels about Sebastian, the former vampire-now-human whose life he has turned upside down once more.

But the evidence they steal is hot property. The future of all vampires is on the line and others will stop at nothing to get it, leaving Sebastian, Winter and Nathanial with no allies but each other. They must trust each other to survive. Only...can they?

This book contains two hot, sexy alpha heroes, frequent, explicit and frank sex scenes and sexual language.
It includes heart-stopping sexual scenes between the aforementioned sexy heroes, menage scenes, anal sex and the use of sex toys. Don't proceed beyond this point if hot love scenes offend you.
No vampires were harmed in the making of this novel.

Winter is a professional thief who can manipulate others' biologies by touch and cure them. One day accidentally she “cured" a vampire, Sebastian, and made him human again. He did not want to become mortal. She didn't know that he was a vampire.
Nathanial is Sebastian's ex-lover who looks for him and he discovers Winter. Much older and wiser that Winter and Sebastian, he convinces these two thieves to help him stealing evidence that will expose all vampires to the world. Moreover Nathaniel, realises that Winter and Sebastian situation is much complicated that they think and these two cannot be apart for too long.
This is a very good ménage paranormal romance. The focus is more on the sexy scenes among the three main characters and less on the great adventure they start together. But that’s ok.
Nevertheless the characters had interesting unique personalities, the creative idea of the book was interesting and fresh and I was engaged in the story from the beginning until the end.

Wow. I have to admit I'm really blown away by the whole experience of this book and just how much I enjoyed it. When I was first approached by Tracy to review her book, I was really hesitant because I'd never read a M/M/F romance before. I wasn't sure whether I was ready for something like that but most of all, whether I would like it. I'm all for loving a woman enjoying a hunky "man"wich but how would I feel when those two gorgeous men turn their attentions on each other. Part of what made this such a remarkable experience for me was the way Tracy was able to answer my questions. I was able to talk with her honestly about how I felt and I really appreciated the way she was able to ease my concerns. I honestly don't think I would've tried the book if she hadn't have so readily helped me understand a few things and what a shame - because this book was HOT! There was so much intensity between the characters, the chemistry between Winter, Nial and Sebastian left me panting in places because they were just so heavily entrenched in how they felt about each other. BLOOD KNOT was the perfect book to introduce me to the male/male/female genre and it was an amazing mixture of sensuality, power and emotions -just the way I love my romance. From beginning to end, I soaked this new experience in and it left me craving more.

BLOOD KNOT starts with Winter - a woman with the extraordinary gift of being able to manipulate the body chemistry of others through touch. This has come in handy, many time throughout the years as its saved her life and that of her partner in crime, Sebastian. Unbeknown to her, when he is fatally wounded, she uses her gift to heal him but is devastated by the damaging effects it has on their relationship. Secretly in love with each other, Sebastian and Winter go their separate ways, not fully understanding the consequences that came from healing him and how it forged a bond that can't be broken. By themselves and hurting, Sebastian's old lover and maker enters the picture, approaching Winter for help. He is worried about Sebastian and it doesn't take long for him to realize that something is happening. After hearing all kinds of horror stories, Winter is skeptical of Nial but after making an honesty pact, they team up to search for Sebastian, unsure what they'll find when they see him. One thing that happens when emotion are involved, hearts become tangled and it doesn't take long before the chemistry between Nial and Winter develops. There is an intensity with how they feel which is then complicated when Sebastian finally joins them. Three people - each with their heart involved - each in love with the other but desperate not to be hurt again. What do you do when you heart yearns to be with ALL the people that you love and can you trust them not to break it? Throw into the situation, Nial asks Sebastian and Winter to do "one more job", pairing up again to protect the existence of vampires. The day will come when they will reveal themselves - but it'll be when they're ready and the time is right. There's danger, there's action and there's scorching love to be found in BLOOD KNOT.

I really did enjoy this story. It was just so easy to get swept up in it all and I loved how well the author crafted her story. I went expecting squick and I emerged with a lump in my throat, tears in my eyes and my heart racing because I'd become completely engaged with the characters. Tracy eases her readers into the story. She gets you used to each characters, introducing their hearts so that you begin to develop a connection. She then builds upon it, entwining Winter, Nial and Sebastian until you don't know where one begins and another ends. You're so caught up in each moment, watching what will happen next that the story flows by and nothing seems out of place. I loved that about the story - I wasn't reading along and then splat! I hit a wall. I read and read and then came to end thinking "That's it? I want more... please tell me there's more"

I couldn't get enough of the characters. Each of them had their own unique personality, with their own quirks and baggage that made them very entertaining to read. I loved watching their struggles, especially Sebastian and Winter as they tried to come to terms with their feelings for each other. All that time, they had secretly loved each other, using other people to fill the empty void and all they needed to have done was said something. Now that they're finally together and everything's in the opening, Nial is in the picture and so there is this incredible sexual tension just building and building and you know when it explodes, it's going to be amazing. I loved how Nial kind of set things up, he knew what he wanted but until Winter and Sebastian was ready to see and admit it, he had to patiently wait. He loved them both and some of the moments he created were swoonworthy. My favorite was on the plane when they were all sitting down to eat. Nial, being the vampire, wasn't able to eat but he would have Winter taste something then either lick the fork or kiss her. The enjoyment Nial and her got from eating a carrot drove Sebastian crazy that one minute he was sitting, next he was reaching over after eating his own carrot and passionately kissing Nial. It was fast. It was unexpected and it was HOT! Everything done with a level of sensuality that left me sighing.

One of the things Tracy shared about a benefit to reading M/M/F was that instead of having just one sexy alpha male, in BLOOD KNOT you got TWO. So true!! It's one thing if Nial and Sebastian were just your average run of the mill guys. They weren't - they were in your face gorgeous men with power that just oozed out of them. Nial was the sexy vampire and Sebastian... well he was just Sebastian. Both had this singular kind of focus that when they zeroed in on Winter - she didn't really stand a chance. They were just so intense and open about how they felt. I liked that they were these uber masculine men but they weren't afraid to finally show how they felt, to admit they loved each other and that they were miserable alone. I loved watching them reach out to each other and the realness of their emotions.

I'd definitely recommend this book to those interested in trying this genre. This is a great introduction book because Tracy isn't a "slap you in the face" kind of author. She takes an interesting storyline and weaves into it characters that you can't help but fall in love with. On top of that, she smothers everything with a heady dose of sensuality so that you're left feeling all warm and gooey. I can't stress the sensuality enough. I am a HUGE supporter of sensuality in the romance I read. Everyone loves a good fun rutting, the mechanics of it all, but the magic comes from it meaning something. From the connections between two people, and in this case three, going on a journey together and finding love along the way *sigh* This book definitely satisfied all my romantic tendencies so give it a try. Happy reading!

Surprisingly good. I tend to think alot of erotic romance novels tend to lack in a good story, but this was a good story. I do agree with other reviewers that it would have been nice to know what type of species the main character was, but she didn't know herself.. so I didn't feel that cheated. I loved the guys. There was alot of great build up to the hot sex scenes. I loved alot of the great one liners. Again, surprisingly an all around good read.

Interesting Read! 3 1/2 STARS HOT!

First let me say that the romance/erotic scenes between the m/f and m/m/f were totally HOT! The story was interesting in the fact that it involved two vampires and one supposed female human who were known as the best thieves known by reputation amongst the vampire world.

Nathanial (Nial), is one sly and sexy vampire that has a way with manipulating minds to get what he wants. I loved how sexually his actions towards Winter and Sebastian were. He seemed to never lose control and always knew how to read the others actions to make them react physically and mentally.

Winter was one bad ass chick that was human but not really human. She had human parents but she has a gift no one else has, she can reach into others by skin contact and change their biology chemistry or heal them, including her own self. For instance, she was able to heal herself from being poisoned by reaching within herself mentally and breaking down the strain of the poison and reversing it, therefore making her immortal like the vampires.

Sebastian, another sexy vampire worked with Winter for two years and had been keeping his true feelings of how he felt away from Winter. Winter had saved his ass many times but the last time was the straw that almost made him want to confess his feelings towards her, but thinking her human kept him from it even after he found out a truth she had been keeping from him. Sebastian had almost died and Winter panicked and touched him to heal him only to find out that he was darker than most humans and she healed him back to being human again not knowing he was a vampire.

The story gets interesting as Winter discovers she has inherited some traits from Sebastian she didn’t have before such as requiring blood – his blood and her eyes and hair have changed permanently .

Sebastian thinks he is turned back to being a human because of his chemistry changes within his body such as being able to eat food and craving it. However, Sebastian is having a hard time dealing with the truths and decides to run from his true feelings and tries to forget about Winter that is until his ex-lover Nial comes along and convinces Winter to help him find Sebastian.

The story heats up from there when Winter and Nial find themselves in each other’s arms with excited passion and especially when they find Sebastian and old sparks are rekindled between the ex-lover and the joining of the new lovers.

I’ve rated this a 3 ½ star because I thought there should have been a little more clarification (what kind of immortal) on what Winter truly was for it was evident she was more than human but not a vampire.

Where to begin....
I didn't have high expectations for this book, even with the great reviews it had already received, because I am a rather harsh critic when dealing with menage stories. I am almost always disappointed because only a few authors seem to get this genre "right".

What Tracy Cooper-Posey gets right:

1) Realistic and thoughtful character development (who would have thought you would find characters realistic when dealing with vampires?)
2) Unbelievably HOT mind-blowing sex. No dialogue that feels forced or recycled from other books. Inventive and scorching love scenes.
3) A touching, romantic story. Jealousy, alpha males, a love triangle, angst, heartache, love - every base is covered.
4) Intriguing plot and fresh vamp world to explore. I can only hope and pray that Tracy plans on continuing and making this a series of some kind, because I would love to read more about this world she created.

I honestly do not have anything bad to say about this book. The writing was superb, the story had a great flow and never dragged, the book was a good length story, and the price was more than reasonable for a book of this caliber.

I have only written reviews for books that I am willing to give 5 stars to (and as many books as I read, that isn't many!)
I whole-heartedly recommend this book and give it a full 5 stars.

Warning: there is some M/M/F content, along with the M/F/M (for those of you who are offended by this)

ENJOY!

I love reading about hot sexy vampires. Author Tracy Cooper-Posey does a superb job of luring the reader into this erotically delicious story taking the time to slowly and deliberately builds the relationship between Winter and Nathanial who both already have sexual ties to Sebastian which works to form a tight and lasting bond between the three lovers. The complexity of the characters as well as the ménage relationship is interesting and appealing while the passion and dangerous desire they feel makes for some explosive action. Winter, Sebastian and Nathanial are all keeping secrets that play out with some interesting, dangerous and action filled results. The love scenes are hot and plentiful and feature some searing sex and raw emotions. The ending is purely delightful and definitely left me craving for more of this series and more sexy vamps. Although the author touched briefly on Nathanial's and Winter's history she didn't talk about Sebastian's although it was mentioned that Nathanial turned him. I really liked this book

Hmm, well, what to say about this book? It was poorly edited and felt really long, even though it wasn't even 300 pages. It must have been all the sex making it feel so long. There was SO MUCH SEX. I've read bodice rippers with less sex.

Let me give you an example of how much sex there was. In the span of nine pages, or about six percent, two of the characters had fully described sex no less than five times. With NO BREAK. It was also mentioned that they had sex several times in between these scenes. They did not stop. It reached the point where I was actually cringing for the female character, although she herself didn't have any problems keeping the party going all damn night.

Of course they had sex several other times throughout the novel. I'm going to guess this book was 80% sex, 10% building character relationships, and 10% plot stuff.

Added to that, the sex was just a smidge outside my comfort zone. The characters were courteous to each other and I've certainly read dirtier things, so I'm not sure if it was because of the actual acts or because of the non-stellar writing.

The funny thing is, I was actually interested in the plot! As far as heists go, this wasn't all that well-written, but it brought to my mind movies like Entrapment and Ocean's Eleven.

I didn't actually hate this book, and the characters were good, but with the fairly decent plot taking a backseat to the overwhelming sexcapades, I'm only giving this a 2.

CAPTIVATING, ENGAGING AND FABULOUSLY ENTERTAINING !!!

Title: Blood Knot
Author: Tracy Cooper-Posey
Series: Blood Stone
Designation: Book One, Can be read as Standalone
Genre: Vampire Menage Urban Fantasy
My Rating: FIVE FABULOUSLY ENTERTAINING STARS*****
Blood Knot is my first time reading Tracy Cooper-Posey but it certainly won't be my last. After reading only one book, it's obvious to me that Tracy Cooper-Posey is a gifted storyteller and master wordsmith with an impressive vocabulary and exceptional grasp of the English language. I found Blood Knot to be well crafted and beautifully written, as well as exciting, fast-paced, suspenseful, full of action, riveting, seductive, erotic and romantic. But it's truly the characters that draw you in and steal your heart. They are fascinating, intriguing, captivating, engaging and sexy as sin! I admit, I love just about any romance featuring vampires and other supernatural beings but this book was truly magnificent! The dynamic between the three protagonists of this story was exceptionally well developed and masterfully written giving the reader the backstory of each. While reading a book, I often find myself asking, "I wonder what happened to this character to make him behave this way." It's important for me to know the details of a character's past, and this author skillfully discloses their secrets as the story progresses. The heated attraction and fiery sexual chemistry between this trio bring the story to life. It's tumultuous yet realistic and quickly becomes the primary focus of the story.
I adored the premise for this book. Winter and Sebastian are professional thieves and master con-artists who meet and become partners for one job but one turns to two and two turns to two years. Unfortunately, both are hiding dangerous, dark secrets, not only from the world but also from each other. Each is attracted to the other and fall in love but refuse to admit their feelings for fear of ruining their partnership. So, they both suffer in silence until Sebastian is mortally wounded on a job in Singapore where Winter must reveal her secret in order to heal Sebastian. Winter suddenly discovers that she isn't the only one with secrets and Sebastian has a doozy. Winter possesses the power to heal and manipulate a person's biology and body chemistry but when she attempts to restore Sebastian's body to health, she realizes too late that Sebastian isn't normal, nor is he mortal - he's a vampire. And to further complicate matters, apparently during the healing process, there is a transfer of certain aspects of Sebastian's physical characteristics and vampirism back to Winter and she must now rely on the ingestion of Sebastian's blood to survive. And miraculously, Sebastian is no longer a vampire. Oh my! Well, the big revelation doesn't go well and the two almost-lovers part ways. Months go by with each of them painfully suffering the loss of the other when suddenly, Sebastian's handsome, vampire ex-lover, Nathanial, shows up on Winter's doorstep claiming that Sebastian is in trouble. And the sparks begin to fly! Let the games begin as Winter and Nial travel the globe in an effort to find the man they each love and all three become embroiled in a plot that may result in all their deaths. So, what's a girl to do when she suddenly realizes that she's now in love with two men? Who will she choose? Hmm....decisions, decisions! Why not both?!? And what will a charismatic, fifteen-hundred-year-old vampire and a very handsome 'not-quite' vampire do when they discover they both love the same woman? I'll never tell! What a wild ride! I loved it! What did I love about this book? Everything! What didn't I like? Not a darn thing! Would I recommend it? You bet and I am but only for adult readers since it does contain some very steamy, dreamy love scenes! Will I read this author again? Absolutely! Fabulous entertainment and an awesome read!

What to say first, Hmmm. Let us have a moment to just take in the view of the cover to this book . . . shall we?

Ok, now stop before you short circuit the device you are using to read this review on.

Now, back to what is on the inside of the book. This book purchase for me was one based on another review. First I thought, what kind of story takes 600+ pages to tell! (I hadn't read a book that long since, ummm around Christmas). Then I started reading. The first few chapters for me were a little slow going . . full of information needed to understand somewhat of why we were, where we were. Trust, "Lucy" still has some explaining to do down the line. I'm not sure when it actually was in the story that it happened, but at some point . . you start to feel for each of the characters. Maybe you want to shake Winter and smack some sense to her! Or maybe you want to throttle Nathaniel. There maybe times you wish to give Sebastian a map and tell him to FOLLOW it! Then something happens . . and it's like HOLY COW! Somehow, this three ring circus of emotions comes together and BANG! a spectacular show is presented. This book will leave you worn out. It will drain you of emotions you didn't even know you were capable of feeling. I'm sure you will even feel a little confused after this reading book . . confused as to how on earth just reading those words made you pant a little, or moan a little, or . . . yeah, you get the picture.

This book may not be for everyone. If you have an open mind, please jump on in . . the water is just fine (until you are no longer alone it, then it gets HOT!).

What a surprise! It is a really well layered suspense with erotic romance woven into the storyline and the 3 main characters. It's a little confusing at first, but it answers all your questions, blends the story together, and gives us a lot of surprises and action. It is not your standard "rehashed" vampire story. Nathanial (Nial) is a powerful vampire, Sebastian his former lover, and now new partner to Winter. Sebastian and Winter are a highly sought after pair of thieves. They have a skill set that no other has, because Winter has a secret. She can control someones biology and them for a short time, kind of like hypnosis. Something goes wrong on a job, and Winter and Sebastian are torn apart by their own secrets. In walks Nial looking for Sebastian, and he needs Winter's help to find him. But Nial is hiding the real reason he needs them both. Woven into this suspense is the love affair the 3 have. The eroticism is written beautifully to fit the dynamic of the 3 characters, and it was a lot of fun watching them all fall in love with each other.

I picked this up from the free kindle romance list. And thought, why not, sounds interesting. And its, free so no loss if it was bad and wanted something to pass the time. But I found myself really enjoying the story. It was new and interesting and I'm looking forward to reading the next one.

Blood Knot is one of those books that took me a while to figure out where exactly it was going. There was a pretty big deal made in the beginning how Winter and Sebastian were "linked" and she needed to have his blood on a regular basis, then I don't really know what happened to that.

The plot was okay but I felt it was missing something. The action/mystery parts of this book didn't really hold my attention, and was all over the place, IMO.

The sex scenes were well written; and I enjoyed the M/F and M/M/F scenes, even though I am not a fan of MM erotica.

My rating: 4 out of 5 stars

"Besides, that's cliched and predictable. If I were going to attempt something so ham-fisted I would have pulled you into my chair twenty minutes ago, brought you to your first climax ten minutes ago and had you begging for release again five minutes after that. All without removing a stitch of my own clothing."

~Nial

Yup...like that. Blood Knot is the first of the Blood Stone series and the first I've read from author Tracy Cooper-Posey. Trust me when I say, it won't be the last. Smut; there's a lot out there. I can't tell you how many books I've picked up only to discover that sex is literally the only thing carrying the story. There is no depth, no character building, barely a plot to speak of. Blood Knot was NOT such a book.

Winter is a top notch thief with a special gift. Having the ability to manipulate a persons biology by a simple touch comes in handy in her line of work. Not only can she use her gift against any obstacles she encounters by putting them to sleep and wiping their minds, she can also repair and heal those who have been wounded. When her 'partner in crime' of the past three years, Sebastian, is gravely injured while saving her life, she doesn't think twice to jump right in and heal him. Thing is, she heals him a little too well and strips him of his Vampirism. Oopsie. Guess they didn't know one another as well as they thought. By healing him, she inadvertently linked the two of them in a way neither is happy about and it results in Sebastian disappearing, and asking that she not try to contact him.

Enter Nathanial, aka Nial, who is Sebastian's ex-lover. Things didn't end well with Nial and Sebastian but that doesn't stop Nial from seeking him out when Nial needs a job done, a job only Sebastian and Winter are able to complete. Said job is of great importance and is critical to the entire Vampire race. Nial wasn't prepared for the pull he would feel towards the feisty redhead when his search for Sebastian leads him to Winter's door, and so their journey begins...

description

Hells bells and then some. Blood Knot is an exceptionally hot read and not your typical 'love triangle'. There's sex and lots and lots and LOTS of it, but at the same time, the storyline is fascinating and the love laced throughout breaks all molds. Typically, when it comes to love triangles, I tend to lean towards one man or the other but not this time. As the story unfolded, I drifted back and forth between the two men and who I adored the most and then it dawned on me, the author allowed me to not have to choose and so I didn't. I fell for both leads and where there's ones weakness, comes the others strength.

Blood Knot gives the reader a kick ass heroine, two exceptionally hot alpha male leads, action, love, betrayal and WHITE HOT steam scenes that will leave you breathless. I look forward to reading much more from this author.

I was happily surprised by how good this book turned out to be. After reading the blurb, I would usually pass on a book like this cuz it's really not my usual reading material. But I gave it a chance because it got good reviews, was .99 and I was feeling adventurous.

First off, the blurb doesn't do this book justice. I believe if it was written differently, it would generate a lot more interest. The three main characters are each a treasure in themselves and the more you get to know them, the deeper you're drawn into the story. And although this story has great suspense and a mystery that just begins to gain momentum in this first book, it really concentrates on these incredibly unique and complicated people you grow to love intensely and their interrelationships. This is an Epic love story among three people who could never fit in anywhere. I really enjoyed getting to know the characters and the book was fast paced, so it was never boring.

I personally couldn't get enough! I would have given it 5 stars, but I feel like it could have lasted longer. And considering a novella was released, that continued the plot right where the book left off, makes me kinda miffed. There's also another novella that is a prequel and two more books, but they focus mainly on other sets of characters. I would be reading them by now, but I have limited funds and 4.99 a book is a bit steep for me. I will Definitely be checking them out of the library tho!

I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS BOOK TO MATURE READERS LOOKING FOR AN INTERESTING & VERY UNIQUE LOVE STORY!

I RECOMMEND THIS NEW AUTHOR, WHO HAS MANY OTHER BOOKS OUT AS WELL.

I GIVE IT 4.5 STARS!

I actually think the worst part about the book is the cover. It just doesn't appeal to me at all.

The story itself is pretty good - a mix of adventure, intrigue and romance. It had a bit more Romance than I would have expected. I could understand the girl being involved with two centuries old (or older) vampires getting swept up emotionally but they were just as bad and had much less of an excuse.

Winter's mutant abilities were interesting - I can't think of any comic book character with the exact same power and coming up with something original isn't that easy any more.

I thought the version of the Vampire Mythos presented was well worked and logical for what she was going for. I didn't realize until I read this that this is part of a series although they seem loosely tied together.

Overall, a well done paranormal romance from my limited experience.

“Blood Knot” by Tracy Cooper-Posey showcases great character development; intricate story design, heart-stopping suspense and a love story that made me weep! The story just grabbed me and pulled me in and without much preamble immersed me in the lives of these three fascinating characters. As the details of their lives unfolded, my interest to know more only increased and I found them more fascinating. When the reveal of the penultimate mystery was made, I admit to having secretly wished for such a result, but the book is filled with surprises I hadn't forseen. All in all, “Blood Knot”, is a spectacular read that has put its author on my radar, has earned my wholehearted recommendation, is a book I will re-read and a series I’ll likely follow.

I really really liked this. I'm really not into vampire books these days, but this one wasn't "vampirish", if that makes sense.

I found the storyline and characters well developed and intelligent. There were some sappy, romantic moments which made it kind of sweet in places. And not to forget...steamy, hot sex.

One of the things I liked is the sex wasn't uncomfortably graphic. Don't get me wrong, it was descriptive as hell...it just didn't have to describe every vein and ridge (if you know what I mean).

Nial, Sebastian and Winter were really enjoyable and Winter was not wussy at all.

I highly recommend this book, even to people who are not fans of paranormal.

I bought this a while ago and started it a couple of times and got distracted so I'm glad I picked this up again and actually finished it this time. Winter and Bastian have been working for two years as professional thieves and have a falling out a year ago. Nial who was Bastian's long-time lover (although Bastian had broken it off) comes looking for Bastian and finds Winter and while they are searching for Bastian, get closer. Once the three of them are together, they are combustible. Definitely looking into getting Book #2.

It took me a little while but I finally got into this book; after that I will have to say I really enjoyed it. I really liked seeing how all three of them came together and realized that they needed each other. I also think that I found a new author and can't wait to read the next book.

I like this series a lot and I have read more of it than what shows up on my shelves. Don't know what happened to them. I may have never put them on my shelves or one of the MANY GR Blips has removed them.
This is basically a MMF story and PNR. It's a fun read with lots of twist and turns. The characters and the world is very interesting.
There are problems with the story. It has/had a couple of jumpy parts that caused a bit of confusion and if I remember correctly, some editing errors.
However, I remember being Very intrigued by the story and being fully invested in continuing it.
Each story in this series ends on a cliffhanger of sorts. So really it's more of a serial type series.

The steamy scenes are Very steamy and erotic.
The author is a very good story teller and this series actually got me to follow her works.
I plan on reading more of hers in the future. But do be aware that not ALL of her books have steamy scenes. This one does and I enjoyed it.

First I want to note an error on the blurb for this book: there are no "sex toys" in this story. I, personally, don't care for them in books, so I was glad not to find them. I wanted to comment upon this for others who may feel the same. If you DO want them in a story, then you are out-of-luck with this one (unless you count lube as a toy).

One of the criticisms I often have with erotica is the poor quality of the story itself...that is not the case for Blood Knot. The story is a strong one with the kinky sex just a bonus (and not at all over-used or over-done as is so often found in this genre).

I enjoyed how different the three leading characters' pasts were and yet how very similar they actually are now. The blend of the romances was nicely accomplished. Often in MMF stories, it is the case where two are already a couple and the third is added to form a menage. In this story, two were a couple but had been separated for 4 years or so before the story takes place. Then each of that pairing separately develops a relationship with the third making their menage come together as a natural extension of their mutual loves.

There are also some sweet, endearing moments to be found in Blood Knot. Both Nathanial and Sebastian give lots of hugs, kisses, and cuddles to Winter (and Nathanial, being from a time long past, shows some of the gallantry not seen in modern times). I think I enjoyed those moments the most. I especially enjoyed learning about the ring Winter wears and its true meaning.

Along with all this sex and falling in love is a story of mystery and intrigue. Who is pulling the strings and why, and what will happen to this trio when they do??? This is a story that grabs your attention immediately and keeps you wanting more until the very end (...and then some).

I gave it 4 stars because I felt it was a great story and lots of fun to read, but it still missed out on a few possibilities and left some areas under-told (For example, with Sebastian's part of the symbiotic relationship - we learn what he needs, but it is not emphasized nearly as much as Winter's part. I found myself feeling cheated because so little was told about something so important to their lives). Also, the ending felt a bit rushed. The story runs along so smoothly up to the bit climatic moment, and then it was a bit short on rounding out the HEA part (it felt more like a lead-in to the next book in the series than an actual conclusion to this one - both could have been accomplished given a few more pages of text).

For those who, like me, may be reluctant to read yet another vampire story, I would still recommend this one because the vampire aspect is not the over-whelming character of the story. It is there, of course, but more as an aspect affecting the characters's lives - much the way their professions, genders, past history, etc. would affect them. With Winter's abilities added to the story, it is more a paranormal story than a vampire story (and, in fact, her abilities play a much larger role in the story than the vampire aspects).

This is a book I would certainly recommend to others who enjoy paranormal romances.

I stumbled upon this author completely by accident while searching for discussions about the definition of urban fantasy. TCP wrote a blog post about UF vs PNR, and since those frequently overlapping genres comprise the bulk of my reading material over the past several years, such issues interest me. TCP claims that PNR has a romance-focused plot while in UF the romance is secondary. That's a good distinction. Ironically, this very sexual book has more plot, character development, and overall substance than most UF novels can claim. Brava, TCP!

I adored the heroine, Winter, who is just the type of woman I love to read about. I frequently have trouble relating to romance heroines because they seem overly emotional, whiny and stupid. Inexperienced, blushing victim types are common, too. Winter is smart, level-headed, self-aware and sexually open. I enjoyed being in her head and respected her choices.

I also loved Nial, although his personality, which was well-developed and wonderfully unique, isn't the sort I usually go for. Oh sure, he's an ancient, powerful, vampire, 6'4", dark-haired with bright blue eyes, and he speaks Latin (I love Classics). All that right there is my ideal. But I typically go for more troubled, serious, brooding types. Nial is refreshingly playful and light-hearted, while still being completely alpha & dominating in bed. He's also kind, respectful and loving, in and out of the bedroom. Like Winter I was blown away by his surprising, philosophical yet practical approach to life.

Sebastian was the weakest link in this menage group, at least for me. He didn't get nearly as much page time as either Winter or Nial, and by the time he joins them, they've already become a couple of sorts. We're told about the background that Sebastian has with Winter and Nial respectively, but we don't really get to see it. I would love to read some prequels about both those MF and MM pairings, to experience how Sebastian and his partners developed their relationships in the past. I think I would feel the romance between Sebastian and the others a lot more in that case. I'd also just like to know more about Sebastian, as his character isn't as fully fleshed out.

As you can tell, this is a character-driven novel, my very favourite sort. There's also plenty of hot but not gratuitous sex. TCP does a truly masterful job balancing sex and plot, so that that sex actually furthers the plot, adds to character development, etc. The action & mystery, while not exactly complex, are still well-done. Other than the issue of Sebastian, the only major flaw is the obvious lack of editing and many typos. It wasn't enough to drop my rating down a star, but it did frequently disrupt my reading enjoyment. I noticed 30-something errors, including tense issues and spelling errors. There were also a few language & metaphor choices that revolted me. I wish I could delete these from my book!

Blood Knot is one of those books that took me a while to figure out where exactly it was going. Many of the pertinent facts are presented to you from the beginning, but Nathaniel (Nial) and his manipulating ways make you question everything. Nathaniel is a self-professed master manipulator and it made him an intense character to read. Winter and Sebastian are professional thieves. The fact that all three have mastered the art of deceiving others and hiding information from others to get exactly what they want adds an interesting tension to this story when trust comes into play. How does that saying go, no honor among thieves…

Something needs to be removed from human hands. Humans have proof that vampires exist. The vampires do not want this type of exposure. Nial must now find his ex-lover and the ex-lovers ex-partner to pull this job off. Sebastian does not want to be found by Nial or Winter. Winter has heard too many vile things about Nial to want to be around him.

The character development was amazing. Nial, Sebastian, and Winter are very dimensional. The pasts they have left behind, the roads they have taken in life, and the decisions that has lead them to this moment has shaped them into very real characters. They have incredible chemistry that allows them to make perfect sense as lovers.

I was also shocked at the amount of sexual tension. The anticipation of the characters I’m reading finally sleeping together is typically a huge build up for me. That is not the case here. They have very sexual interactions early on. The sex scenes are abundant and extremely erotic. This trio burns the pages up! The not knowing if there was manipulation involved ratcheted up the tension. I was constantly questioning Nial’s involvement in anything.

I would love to read Nial and Sebastian’s story, and it would be one hell of a story. The two of them from the moment they met well over two hundred years ago. They had a long term relationship that ended. The in between is all unknown. Blood Knot is Nial, Sebastian, and Winter’s love story.

Readers are given action, intrigue, a love story, and a bit of mystery when it comes to Winter and her abilities. I definitely enjoyed this one and I’m looking forward to Blood Stone.

I've gotta give props to the cover of this book. I mean, did you LOOK at it? DAY-um... it's purdy.

Winter and Sebastian are literal partners-in-crime: thieves, ya'll. They work together for years, but each hold a secret about themselves back from the other. Winter can manipulate peoples' chemical reactions to things and Sebastian is a vamp. They get into a sticky situation, she tries to heal him, and makes him human again. Plus, it binds them together somehow. Sebastian splits, because... well, I don't know. He leaves.

Enter Nathanial. He takes charge of Winter (because he's so super sexy, she just can't help herself) and they go off to find Sebastian. Once they find him, Nathanial tells them they have to steal something from some high-security building. The fate of the vampires rests on their shoulders.

Then - in a shocking twist that no one could have ever seen coming - they all have sex together and fall in love.

Okay, so the sex was hot. Hot sex = three stars. The plot was pretty all over the place, though. Conversations between these three were a little awkward to read at times. I didn't really get some of the storyline. There was a pretty big deal made in the beginning how Winter and Sebastian were "linked" and needed each other. I don't really know what happened to that. The action/mystery parts of this book just didn't hold my attention, and seemed a little... all over the place.

But I will digress back to what I mentioned before. The sex was smokin'. Winter had a marathon with Nathanial that made me wish I was home, and not on my lunch break while reading it. Once they brought Sebastian into the mix, it got even hotter. I just think this book was a little too long-winded and the plot needed better development. But you decide! It was free on Amazon for a while, and I must say that it's not the worst freebie I've ever read. Solid three stars.

Clare C's Review

Blood Knot by Tracy Cooper-Posey stands head-and-shoulders above most other vampire books on the merits of its plot and characters.

Nial and Sebastian are vampires who’ve been lovers for two hundred and fifty years. They parted ways before the beginning of the novel. In the meantime, Sebastian, a thief, has partnered with Winter. Due to their reticence to get close to another person, their relationship remained professional even though both harbored a secret love for the other. And that’s just the backstory. So much more happens in the actual novel. If this were a movie, it would be an action flick with a hot, romantic twist.

I loved the way Cooper-Posey wove the baggage between Nial and Sebastian into both men’s evolving relationships with Winter. It gave them all a chance to heal from past wounds and to grow as people. The author brought them to life, gave them depth, and made them so real. The love scenes were steamy and passionate, romantic and erotic. The only reason I rated this 4 Tea Cups instead of 5 lay in the excessive use of passive verbs because it slowed down pace and flow of the story. If you like vampire stories or any kind of epic love story, you have to read Blood Knot.

Not going to lie, Tracy Cooper-Posey writes some SEX-AY men who enjoy getting busy with one another and the lady who captures BOTH of their fancies. This series most definitely delivers on both the sexy times and the sexy characters.

There also happens to be tension, issues that need to be worked out, potentially catastrophic secrets, and danger of the physical variety. Winter, Nathanial and Sebastian don't have it easy on their road to coming to terms with how they feel but it all works out in the end.

Nathanial's in a tough place when he first meets Winter. She knows he's good at running cons and she doesn't trust him in the slightest. It takes some maneuvering and some brutal honesty for him to convince her to help him. Once Winter gets past her preconceived notions of Nathanial, those two steam up the sheets like it's nobody's business.

Except maybe Sebastian's. Which takes us back to the whole HOLY HELL THOSE THREE ARE HOT TOGETHER thing.

A fast-paced, sexy start to the Blood Stone series. I have the rest waiting for me and I'm eager to get to them!

4.5 stars - This was one of the best erotic vamp books I have read in a long time. It was an interesting plot with the heroine, Winter, having extra abilities that created a symbiotic relationship with one of the heroes, Sebastian, but their relationship was far from solid, so that led her to form a relationship with the vampire Nial. In some ménage stories I sometimes feel that if one of the parties were to leave the other two wouldn't be together, but I didn't feel that way at all about Winter, Sebastian and Nial. Nial/Sebastian and Sebastian/Winter had preexisting relationships so much of this book was spent on forming a connection between Nial and Winter and that was smokin hot. As was when all three decided to make a go of it, it came together as a natural progression.

It was a good plot too with another (unknown) entity about to reveal the existence of vampires, which looks like it may sort of continue into the next book Blood Stone. Overall this book was a great, hot read. It was my first Tracey Cooper-Posey novel and I enjoyed her writing style.
