I discovered late in life I enjoy writing. I like the romantic story with more than boy meets girls and one of them lies. Then whole story is about getting even for the lie and then discovering they love each other. I believe lust can grow into love. Love and respect is earned and that's a happy ending.

This started off reasonably well, but what happened in the cage (especially when others were added) was too much. H went too far. There were portions of the story I did enjoy, but ... I am not even sure what to say, still working through my reaction to this book. I was TOO angry and upset at the H once the h capitulated, then was sad. And that somewhat marred the rest of the book for me.

Edited to Add: Now I have had time to better process this book, I need to add at the end the Hero wanted to and did become a better man for the heroine. Sold all of his nefarious business interests and left it all behind for his HEA. 3.5 Stars. I would give it more except for the cage scene, because I did not forget the details of this book like others. More originality than some stories at the time.

I will express myself in points. (I made myself finish it so I can give an honest review)

~~SPOILER ALERT~~

=> Very badly written; needs a lot of editing.
=> The Hero was the true epitome of scum/asshole/bastard.
=> The Heroine was a victim. Seriously. That's it.
=> Secondary characters were also some of the worst humanity has to offer.
=> This was NOT a romance. This was rape straight-out.
=> Hero deserves to burn alive forever (directly: BURN IN HELL ASSHOLE).
=> What the heck was with those girls acting like it was a party?! That is NOT how victims react!! Gross misrepresentation!
=> Also a perfect example of Stockholm Syndrome.

WARNING; This is not romance novel, its a dusturbing story about a asshole that is used to getting everything he wants, if not then he kidnaps, humiliates, mistreat woman. YUCK

Needs editing help badly....The book had potential but the error's were just to hard to overcome. Every single page of this novella had multiple errors.....The heroine was chopping at the bit....Not chomping...chopping, they had vanilla envelopes not manila ones. I can go on and on and on. I could not get into reading this because of the errors. A shame really because it could have been a decent book if the author bothered to hire an editor or even gotten some friends and family to go through it for her.

This is NOT a well-written story - the author commits pretty much every mistake there is from punctuation to he/she confusion to wrong word choice. Read the sample and you will get a pretty good idea of how bad it is.

Despite the writing, I found the story quite compelling (and it's a novella length so it was easier to ignore the writing.) The hero is super dominant and possessive. And finally, it's weirdly, oddly, romantic, especially if you make it to the end.
