Rate this book
On the morning of January 22, 1982, Dr. Charles Krebs was a fit 35 year old with a world of possibilities at his feet. By the evening he was a quadriplegic facing death or at least, a life sentence of physical and mental disability. Possessing both the knowledge of human anatomy and an indomitable will, Charles Krebs decided that whatever it took, he would walk again. In seeking the scientific explanation for his own miraculo recovery, Dr. Krebs synthesised the vast bounty of knowledge of the function of the human body and brain - from the 5,000 year old texts of the East to the very frontiers of Western neuroscience.

The hype exceeds the reality.

I searched for some time before finding an affordable edition of this title. My interest was personal, since I experienced a spinal cord injury and was anxious to read how Krebs overcame his far more serious injury. The first chapter details his experience and his aftercare, including his own intense therapy. His success gave me hope and incentive to continue with my own physical therapy at a pace that I might otherwise not reach. But I reached an impasse. I can no longer read the book, mainly due to its specialized jargon and the fact that its primary audience is not the lay person but the physical therapist and more specifically those that treat spinal cord injuries.

Thoroughly enjoyed Charles Krebbs' book, and his public talk/seminar. Amazing man I highly respect. Through adversity his genius brain brought us a form of scientific and energetic healing, into this new era of vibrational medicine. I am honored to have had the opportunity to personally study and train in his modality of kinesiology, to complement my work as a bodyworker/healer. What I truly respect in Charles Krebbs also, is that despite his utmost intelligence he is also a man of reverence, for the greater whole and beyond is his reality. Ego does not take the place of a genuine reverence for our higher purpose and source. He constantly reminds readers, listeners and practitioners to always practice with the right intentions. Thank you Mr Krebbs.

So interesting. Neurokinesiology is such an amazing thing. we are fortunate enough to have a local provider and seemingly there is nothing she can't fix. I send everyone to her!
