Yuen Kay-San Wing Chun Kuen

Rate this book
Hailing from mainland China, the Yuen Kay-San system of Wing Chun is one of the arts more elusive and rare styles. Included in this book are the history, concepts and foundation of the art, the sup yee sik and siu lien tao forms, and their practical applications. For beginners, it serves as a great introduction to Wing Chun; for seasoned practitioners, it offers a new and unique perspective into the art.

to my knowledge, this book is a thorough description of Yuen Kay San WCKF. This line is lesser known in martial arts as Yip Man's (yes, that is the correct spelling) students excelled in marketing their brand and mythology about the origins of wing chun. Lineage and tradition of WC and YKS is discussed here. Techniques are illustrated. It is known that Yip Man was an early student of YKS. The descendants of YM have formally apologized for fabricating the record of YM in the popular movies, which was in fact based heavily on the life of Yuen Kay San.
