Matthew weaves together a modern-day ghost story, cleverly using memories to show the possession. The characters are likable and believable in the moment, and stand-out among them is Casey, the wise-cracking teen with all the answers (sci-fi and supernatural). The climax is intense and engaging and had me riveted, upset when I needed to put the story down.
