This book does a great job in taking you from the origin of Sunset Blvd. in downtown LA westward through each neighborhood to the Pacific Ocean. Along the way you will learn the history of neighborhoods, buildings and people. The historical references and photos are fantastic. However because the book was published in 2002, a lot of the current references to restaurants and bars have changed dramatically within the last 11 years. Many places are already closed. But for a history of Sunset Blvd. from the late 1800's through the 20th century it is fascinating reading.
