He lives on the East Coast of Scotland in Dunbar (Sunny Dunny) with his wife and three children.
As well as writing fiction, he has been a teacher for thirty years and has worked in a number of mainstream and special schools.

October 4, 2014Well I wrote it, so I would give it 5 stars, wouldn't I? Only I'm dropping one regardless. It's short and sweet, 2000 words and published by Untreed Reads. $1:49 is the price and that's my quibble - it's a bargain when compared to other things you can buy in the world for that price (a chocolate bar, a small coffee etc), but maybe not when you can get great novels, novellas and short story collections for cheaper.

One afternoon, he stops for a drink and meets a beautiful woman with a thing for apples...
Nigel Bird is one of my favourite indie authors whose work is usually hard-boiled crime but this 10-page story made for quite a refreshing change.
