Caroline Blaine is complicated. She's not just a "fly-girl" as she tells those around her. She's much deeper than that, but she can't tell anyone. Like her father, she is a spook. And, like her father, in order to keep those she loves safe, no one must know... Caroline has chosen her career over finding love, of course, that's not really possible and despite denying herself from her true affections....David Reese is never far from her mind.

I would love to see this novel flesh out on to the big screen, whether it's made-for-tv or a movie. It's relatable for anyone who enjoys NCIS or JAG and the like. The novel is filled with lots of suspense, action, and heat!

I really enjoyed this book and would highly recommend it. I look forward to reading future titles by this author.

If you're a JAG or NCIS fan, then you need to read this book. The storyline, and the writing itself for Unwritten, are as familiar, and comforting, as an old JAG episode. Plus there is the added bonus of romance that satisfies.

It's a great page turner and you'll be reaching for the next book, Unbecoming, as soon as you finish this one. From start to finish, the relationships, and the use of international locations and Navy assets, keep you interested in the storyline. Navy jargon is integrated into the dialogue very well. There is a glossary at the beginning of the novel for readers who are not familiar with the jargon will find helpful. I didn't have to use it because most of the terms are the same from the shows. In the context of the writing the terms were easy to figure out anyway.

This novel delivers on romance factor too. Yes, you could call it 'chick-lit,' but it has enough action that the intimacy is natural and befitting the storyline. Even as a guy, I enjoyed the reading the "juicy bits." Collier's use of romance speaks to a passionate marriage, one we should all hope to attain.

I ordered the paperback edition of this novel. It contains restored material, absent from the first edition hardcover, and previously only available in the Kindle edition.

I'm really hoping this book gets made into a movie. It's that good.

Hallmark movie + JAG (I imagine) = Unwritten! My favorite parts were the ones set in Franklin, NC. It was fun to be able to imagine exactly where Blaine and Reese were!

The main characters in this military romance/romantic suspense, Caroline Blaine and David Reese won my heart right away. I also loved the secondary characters. There were so many great things about this story - country loyalty, family loyalty, secrets, trust, chemistry, injuries, tons of emotion, and more. Things weren't always as they seemed, which made this a page-turner for me. It's obvious the author had incredible knowledge about the Navy; everything from dress code, how members speak to one another, chain of command, etc. Although a work of fiction, this story was so well written it made me wonder if the author is Caroline.

I had read 'Unwritten' when it first was released in 2007. After reading 'Unbecoming' I wanted to go back read it again. Monica has made some revisions. I like the new one. It is adult reading, but is very tasteful. You feel like you know these people and you want them to be together. I have pleasure of living in Franklin, NC and Monica kept it right on the mark. She does a great job of keeping your interest throughout the book. Read 'Unwritten' then 'Unbecoming'

Love that the main character is from the area in which I reside. Liked that it was witty like the author herself. You can really tell that Monica did her research in writing this book. I'll have to check out the others she has written.

This book was the beginning of me wanting to read again.... it was well written & when completed I prayed there would be a sequel.
