Storm Lords #2

Below the Surface

Rate this book
Book two in the Storm Lords Series

Water bends but doesn't break, and the River Prince must learn that weaknesses can become strengths with the right woman by his side.

The land of Tanselm will fall to evil if four identical princes wielding elemental powers fail to find their intended brides. Thrust into the parallel realm of earth to escape death and insure a future for their world, they have one mission and one mission only - to find their destined affai.

The River Prince, Marcus Storm, doesn't think he'll ever find a mate worthy of him in a world devoid of magic. To make matters worse, the evil that invades his own world has followed him into Seattle. Time is running out for Tanselm. He's working hard to find a woman to satisfy his need for a bride. But his well-earned conceit and sure charm don't work on Tessa Sheridan.

Tessa would be happy to put the sexily aggravating Marcus in his place. Unfortunately, she's dealing with a new and unwelcome form of telekinesis and an embezzler at work trying to frame her. She doesn't have time for Marcus's arrogance. But Marcus is all too willing to show her his passion runs deep, and his love is just there below the surface.

BELOW THE SURFACE by Marie Harte

Marcus Storm is the second born of quadruplet identical brother with royal blood known as the Tetrarch. Transported to the parallel plain of earth for their safety the brothers must find their affai (beloved/wife) if they are to return to their home of Tanselm and save it from falling to the evil 'Sin Garu.

Tessa Sheridan has been able to siphon the abilities of others her whole life but she is not always able to control it or the outcome.

Marcus and Tessa have worked in close proximity and there is a tension between them neither quite knows how to address but all that is about to change when Jonas Chase insists Tessa work with Marcus on an assignment. When the gorgeous, arrogant Marcus Storm with his god like attitude comes face to face with the beautifully stunning Amazon looking red head with a fire and temper to match sparks are bound to fly and not always in a good way.

I finished this book yesterday but didn't have time to write a review, so here it is now! (I just marked it to read for today though, makes more sense) This book was fantastic. I loved how this book had action and romance in it. More action than the first book! Nonetheless, it was amazing. I was really glad that Marcus overcame his fears and accepted Tessa as his affai (wife).

Marcus and Tessa have an interesting relationship. the both work for the same company and have "noticed" each other for six months but haven't really got together! However, it is fun and funny to see their bond grow throughout the story! I was just happy they got their happily ever after! ;)

I can't wait to read the next book. It sounds wonderful! If you like HOT and SEXY guys, this book is just right for you! So, go read it! ;) You'll love it!

This is book two in the Storm Lord series and its was even better than the first one. The Storm Lord series is about four prince's who each control one of the four elements (air, earth, wind & fire). This book is about Marcus the prince of Water and his search for his Affai (wife). The Prince's power is increased when they have an Affai so they are all looking for theirs so they can defeat the terrible evil trying to take over their world. There was a lot more action and you gained a lot more information about the world the four prince's come from in this installment of the series. In short this is a good afternoon read.

I hadn't read this before. Garner draws on his own experience to portray the lives of men serving on a Canadian Corvette during WWII. The focus is on a single voyage. We see older men trying to help out green recruits with no naval background; men who are lonely, frightened, superstitious, isolated from family and friends, yet pulling together to get the job done. An excellent book.
