Finally, a place I can warn people about this book besides Amazon (where negative reviews for this book are commonly deleted).

Holy crap. I bought this book years ago. It was based off the highly rated reviews from Amazon. At the time, it was in the top 1000 of books being sold. Add this next to my bible.

I'll tell you, I had to special order this and Barnes and Noble, as it was SOO popular on Amazon and got 0 traction at Borders and Barnes & Noble. No one had this thing in stock. So, I made a special request to get this highly rated book with amazingly glowing reviews about it curing cancer.

I read through it at the store to get an idea of it and read through the entire book quickly. It was easy, because a 10th of the book, starting at page 7, "The Proof" was full of crap. An entire 10th of this book was Amazon reviews for a previous book he'd written. Literally, copied and pasted with grammatical errors and everything. That is the "proof". Well, it just so happened that I delved in deeper on what this so called "proof" was and found that these were precanned reviews that were essentially, "I was given this book by ____ and I wanted ____ and it happened," but these were word-for-word with professions and other things changed, but word-for-word. Literally. The exact same scam review was used. So, I put a buyer beware review on Amazon, and DID NOT PAY FOR THE BOOK. I felt terrible, like a complete fool, and reluctantly told the worker at Barnes & Noble that I would be returning this book, unsold to myself.

A day or two later, and "poof" my negative review was gone. Mine and others. I watched this thing happen in front of my very eyes. Poof, poof, poof... only positive reviews were allowed for this very book. Talk about internet marketing genius. This Joe Vitale had it sewn up. Finally, I put in my experience in the blog portion of this book when Amazon had that, but just checked today and it looks like they don't have feature any longer. Anyway... Amazon deletes negative reviews of books to sell more. It's sad, but true. Not just with this book, but with others (and from top reviewers, too). Hopefully, goodreads.com will be a safe heaven for those who would like to get to the bottom of things.

OK, I gave this three stars for two reasons: antecdote overkill and lack presenting the real problem--HOW to get people to have enough belief that what they want will come to light considering life's unkowns.

First, this book could've been cut in half, at least. Even at 201 pages, not a long book, it's too long. What the book contains is what is revealed in The Secret, which Joe Vitale was a part of; therefore, this book. According to Jack Canfield, also a motivational guru (he's one of the Chicken Soup for the Soul guys) the most difficult part of the power of attraciton (the method revealed in The Secret) is not knowing what you want, visualization, clearing of negative thoughts (probobaly the 2nd biggest challange), but the belief or faith or ability to let go of your worldly / controlling mind and give in to your intuitive impulses. THIS takes much time, patienc, practic, and coaching. This is something that I've done for years, and years, and years, way before The Secret and the law of attraciton came out. There are many problems with the content of the movie and the method that have yet to be addressed correctly. There are things one needs to do to get this method to work, things that I will reveal in time in my writings and through Inner Projection, Inc.

I once had quite a bit of respect for Joe Vitale and even briefly mention him in my own book.

For me this book said or did nothing more than regurgitate the things that are in many other books including his own. But he is the "author of to many books to mention here."

Sooner or later people around the world will awaken to the fact that Mr Fire along with his cohorts like Proctor and Byrne are nothing more than pseudo gurus praying on the emotions of those seeking wealth by easier methods.

One other reviewer makes reference to Joe and this book saying "Full of things from other people's writings and thoughts."

I have to say that I agree with this and I have awakened to the fact most of these writings are full of fluff and distract our attention from what we really need to do.

Gosh, don't waste your time, it's pathetic even for the 'new age' standards.

I liked this book to start with but it got a bit tedious along the way. It is easy to see how Joe can make some quick money, write a course and charge a lot of money for it and be lucky enough to get people to do it. Joe seemed a very lucky person but I guess I am a little negative on it so it won't work for me unfortunately.

This particular audiobook had mixed reviews. It's one that sits outside of what analytical types would be comfortable with. At the same time, even though it's a very touchy - feely approach to things, there is also some very applicable methods and ideas. Like most books, you need to go through them ready to receive the "nuggets" that work or are fitting for you. If you approach this with an open mind I'm positive you will come away with a few good "nuggets".

This book is about clearly knowing what you want, ask for it from Infinite Intelligence/Universe/God and then, let it go. In a nutshell.

The part that I'm not entirely comfortable about is the clearly knowing part. I, for one, do not know for sure that what I want is really what I want. As humans, we have the unenviable ability to fool ourselves. We can have conversations with our inner selves until the cows come home, and we can still not arrive at a truthful outcome.

The book, while reading it, allows one to be filled with hope that the answers one is looking for are just in the next few pages. And that's how I felt. Doing the exercises did allow for some insights about myself to be revealed or in a way, made real by the fact that I'm compelled to write down within the pages.

But once I put the book away, doubts come back. Are those things I wrote really what I want?

The other thing was that all these kind of books seem to say that our goals must be made more noble, that there should some allocations made for the good of society.

Here's the thing. I am not noble. And why should that make me feel bad to the point that I have to reconfigure my goals to fit into their definition of a noble goal?

This is a good workbook with many ideas about how to break old habits of thinking and become more positive. There are some very mind bending ideas in this book that make for puzzlement, which is not a bad thing. The writer lists a lot of New Thought writers from the turn of the 20th century as well as current writers. I appreciate his candor, his enthusiasm and his way of throwing a lot of ideas out for grabs. If you do not like one idea for one of the steps he has another idea or approach you might like. Vitale is very much an every man and is humble about his success. He admits that he is still working on himself, and reading and taking workshops all the time. There is no sense of egoism or that he knows it all and has arrived or finished with the creation of his life. He tends to play up his years of struggle and admits that his overnight success took him 30 years to produce. The style of writing is very conversational and personal and immediate. This is not a scholarly work but a fresh workbook full of things to try and a lose 5 step visualization suggestion for "technique". There is a lot of old information from other writers but Vitale gives credit where it is due and synthesizes some new approaches out of the mix.

For anyone who is interested in the law of attraction, this is a must read. It goes into much more details then a book like The Secret, and gives many case studies and amazing little stories to drive his point home. One thing i really liked about this book was the idea of etting down to the energy we release, and attract. We are in a world of negatives, and Joe points out how society has beaten us down to thinking everything like life, love, and money is hard. It doesnt need to be this way. He also introduces the idea of energy blockages, and i believe this is hitting on the deeper points of what we attract. I loved this book. One idea i hope i will alwyas remember from his writings is the idea that criticism and negativie observtions take us to our lowest form or energy. W are at our highest when we feel grattitude, just another reason why grateful visualizations are vital. Loved this book. I am not in a place of creating big business oppurtunities, and that is a big part of this book, so it kept me from connecting completely, but still, a great instruction manual for cleaning up your life, your attitude, and what you attract.

If you like Joe Vitale, you'll probably like this book. If not, you won't. Lots of personal stories, "hypnotic writing" (NLP), and links to various things you can purchase, but if you can get past these things, there is some great stuff here. Joe is a great communicator and knows this subject (Law of Attraction and "money mindset" well).

This book was originally released under Spiritual Marketing. I read that one close to ten years ago. This one has added information and is more polished.

Joe borrows from a lot of people, giving credit where it's due, so if nothing else, this is a good sampler of various authors and experts in this genre. Lots of lists, self-assessment tools, etc.

The "Attractor Factor" is 5-steps, which are:

1. Know what you don't want.
2. Focus on what you do want.
3. Clear negative and limiting beliefs.
4. Feel what it's like to have, do, and be what you want.
5. Let go and allow things to happen.

If you want more info on these in the form of mostly personal stories about Joe and his life experiences, you'll like this book.

Nói thật đọc cuốn này xong không biết chấm điểm làm sao cả. Với đề tài tâm linh như luật hấp dẫn thì rất khó để người có tư duy logic có thể nuốt nổi. Trong quá trình đọc cuốn này mình đã phải liên tục đấu tranh nội tâm để thu thập kiến thức. MÌnh vốn tin vào luật hấp dẫn nhưng đọc xong cảm giác nó như trò lừa thế kỉ.
1. Điểm mạnh :
+ Làm rõ được tinh thần của luật hấp dẫn và các bước thực hành cũng có giá trị thực hành ngay và luôn.
+ Quyển sách kể ra những câu chuyện khá thú vị về hành trình tác giả trải nghiệm luật hấp dẫn. Từ những mẫu chuyện đó mình ngộ ra khá nhiều điều.

2. Điểm yếu:
+Cảm tưởng đối tượng của cuốn sách là những người có IQ và EQ cực thấp vì nội dung rất vòng vo, lặp đi lặp lại và không có trọng tâm. Cách viết của tác giả làm mình cảm tưởng luật hấp dẫn như trò lừa đảo vì luận giải quá duy tâm

Kết: Không khuyến khích người chưa biết về luật hấp dẫn hoặc chưa có trải nghiệm đọc quyển sách này.

Horrible.

Sorry Mr. Vitale, this book was definitely not for me. About mid-way through the 2nd CD I quit the book - a VERY rare occurrence. There could be some redeeming things in the remaining CDs, but I wasn't willing to waste more time on that slim possibility.

To be sure there were some kernels of truth in the reading that had to do with being positive, not focusing on the negative, being patient, enjoying what you have, etc., etc. But unless you're REALLY into a new age or literal definition of spirituality, Joe leaps over the line of credibility.

I grumbled my way past the "miracle" and "blessings" of luxurious material gain. I smirked past the idea that if you dwell on bills you'll literally get more bills. The final straw for me was the examples of beating cancer with positive thinking.

Awesome down to earth manual for manifesting your dreams, includes a couple of important distinctions and missing components that are not presented in the Secret. Also highlights the importance of working with other people on getting clear and working on your limiting beliefs. In short, a very informative and practical guide, highly recommended reading.

Not bad, not awesome. I like to read books like this for "maintenance." About 8 years ago I really had to focus on getting my mind right and looking at life in a more positive way. This book was available through the library and I needed something in a pinch. Definitely worth a read. I'm looking forward to reading Vitale's other works. Also, he's originally from Ohio... So that's good!

Summary of the book: Incredibly unnecessarily extended.

I bought it because I was interested in the law of attraction, but I'm glad that I underlined the places that I found important about the law of attraction, otherwise I would never have been able to read the book from the beginning.


Firstly, the book repeats so many identical phrases that I'm tired of constantly reading the same things. It should have been absolutely minimal and concise. It can be stretched out both in an elongated and in an excessively unnecessary way.

Secondly, it has a very disconnected narrative. For example, he puts forward a sentence to excite us and makes us wonder about the continuation of that sentence. Then, instead of saying that sentence, “Let me tell you about this incident."he constantly shares sections from other people's lives or sections from his own life, where he tries to convince us of his reality. This may have been a good way to get us excited at first, but after a while it started to get annoying and I started to forget what it was getting us excited for.

Thirdly, some events may have really happened, but I think that some of the “happened” events are an exaggeration and a figment of imagination. Of course, there were truths in it, I'm not saying that it was all made up, but I think that some of them were made up events.
The book had been so unnecessarily lengthened as to be finished with less than half a page. The main ideas and outlines were obvious and, as I said, were repeated many times over and over again.

Finally, there were places in the book where my point of view differed in spiritual and religious terms, and I did not agree with the author's point of view on this issue.

I think this book should be read at the age when there is a certain structure of ideas.

İlk olarak, kitap o kadar aynı cümleleri tekrarlıyor ki sürekli aynı şeyleri okumaktan sıkıldım. Kesinlikle az ve öz olmalıydı. Uzatılmak için uzatılmış hem de aşırı gereksiz bir şekilde.

İkincisi, çok kopuk bir anlatımı var. Örneğin bizi heyecanlandırmak için bir cümle ortaya atıyor ve o cümlenin devamını merak etmemize neden oluyor. I hate this book. I've hated this book the entire time, but certain things were said that forced me to continue as I wanted to see what other things could be worse. I don't want to spoil the fun for anyone but here are the top 5 things that I hate about this book.

1. Positive thoughts can't cure cancer. Don't ever write that in a book. Don't ever say that out loud. (I can't believe I wrote that line).
2. If your book refers to a certain person giving you advice over half the time - I don't want to read your book. I want to read their book.
3. The majority of this book just refers to other books that he has read/written. Not expanding on them or providing insight, but mentioning them over and over.
4. Do you know how when watching youtube someone will cut into a segment that mentions their sponsor? While this book doesn't do that, it does list out the phone number and website where he'd wanted to have his stuff published to. I'm fine with the story, but for fuck sake just add it as a reference and don't mention it within the chapter. Also, why wasn't this book just a list of books and resources that he found helpful...that would have saved me the time reading this one.
5. Holy crap - the first chapter(s) were just a hot mess. I swear I had no clue what the purpose of this book was after the first few chapters. This is what almost made me stop reading, but the cancer comment happened and then I knew I had a calling. I was attracted to this hot mess! (see what I did there? cleaver, huh)

I wish that was it and nothing else triggered me, but there was more. I am well aware that I'm in the minority as this manages to have nearly a 4-star rating. Obviously people get value out of what he has said, but I'm curious if they got value out of this book or another one and this reminded them of that experience. Joe VItale has many books, but I've decided to put this author into my "won't read" bucket.

Do yourself a favor and don't read this book.

Yukarıda kendisinin de açıklamış olduğu gibi bu kitabın da içerdiği bilgi ve konular itibariyle herkeste aynı etkiyi bırakmaması çok normal.
Ancak kendi adıma diyebilirim ki, bana gerçekten çok iyi geldi. Kendimi çok iyi hissettirdi. İlginç ama, anlattığı ve tavsiye ettiği şeylerle hayatımda pek çok şeyin de bir şekilde iyi yönde gelişeceğine inanıyorum.

I will say this, Dr.Joe Vitale is one of my favorite authors, starting with this book here. His story of homelessness and how he took the reigns of his mindset and not just turned it around but set a blazing trail to success and a peaceful life is a huge inspiration to me, I was once homeless myself and his lived experience is very hopeful. You know a self help book changed your life when years later you still think of an excerpt from it. That part for me is when Joe was penniless in a cheap apartment really going through trying to find anything to be grateful for to write down and the looked at the pen in his hand and wrote that he's thankful for the ink in the pen to write in that moment, which would later be a part of his widely successful book(s). So any time I'm feeling down or like I'm not where I want to be I think of all the pens with ink I have, because there is always something you can switch your focus to in order to switch your perspective. I'm immensely moved that I found this author and book.

I checked this book out from the library after hearing a clip of one of the authors talks. It started out promising but the author lost me early on with his suggestion that North America is the more “successful” and prosperous America because settlers came seeking god, so for spiritual purposes. Meanwhile, settlers came to South America seeking gold, so materialistic purposes. Wow. Colonizing North America is a terrible example of a spiritual pursuit, considering the treatment of Indigenous Americans, African slaves, and countless others. I realize this book was published in 2005, but that is a huge blind spot.

Quick Read. Enjoyed hearing and then using Chi Kung examples in the book. Enjoyed hearing about the authors passive income projects, many I will contemplate(I know, I know). I have already recommended the book to another friend who originally used the term passive income on me. Also enjoyed the authors deep dive into PT Barnum. The author quotes the grave of PT Barnum,"Not my will but thine be done". Which aligns with a Deepak Chopra quote , "All we really need is clarity of intent. Then if we can get the ego out of the way, the intentions fulfill themselves." Which is authors key ultimate secret, let go on the intuitive impulses and allow the universe to manifest

This is a very helpful book with a lot of motivation. It helps you see through what is the most important factor which affects you the most in your decisions, your life. It contains many useful excercises that help you find that factor. It helps you find peace in your mind, and to do things with less effort.
Even though, in my opinion, the remain half of the book is not interesting compare to the first half.
