Ronan Keating - Life is a Roller Coaster

Rate this book
This is Ronan Keating's finest hour. Seven years after Boyzone took their first steps to chart domination and adoration, Ireland's Ronan Keating is now an international solo star. No Matter What-- is his own story in his own words, from his youth spent in Dublin's housing estates, to his around-the-world tour, to the peace of his idyllic country home. He talks with refreshing honesty about Boyzone, his family and friends, and the jet-set lifestyle. The book also includes some never-before-seen photographs.

I really enjoyed this book, it surprised me- I never was a big Boyzone fan however this book made the band sound like lots of fun and gave me an insight of their lifes.

Only reason it is 4 and not 5 is it is a decade old- so obviously outdated.

This is the 3rd time I’ve read this book. I used to be a major Ronan Keating fan and back in the day, would have given this 5 stars.

I would love for him to write another book to fill out the next 25 years. He speaks so beautifully about Yvonne but I can’t help thinking ‘why did you cheat then?’.

I still am a fan but I think it’s a nostalgic thing. I feel like he comes across a little disingenuous - trying to convince everyone he’s Ireland’s golden boy, a sweetheart. Even saying that Boyzone were happy he went solo and now we know they weren’t.

Very interesting read though - especially reading how Boyzone began.

This ones been on my shelf for 20 years and I'm only getting round to reading it now, so theres an awful lot more has happened in Ronans life since then. Still it wasnt a bad read and lots of laughs throughout and brought back lots of memories of the many many times I travelled all over the place to see Boyzone play live.

Really enjoyed this but hope Ronan does another autobiography because I think he has a lot more to write about since this book was published.

Good book

Interesting read on the life of Ronan Keating. From boy band to successful solo performer. Also insight to life in Southern Ireland.

Firstly, I must declare that this is not my usual genre. I don't often rad and prefer to stay clear books on celebrities. I stumble upon this book and it has been sitting on my collection for years. I like Ronan as a person, as an artist, but I'm not crazy about him or his music. However, this biography gave a good inside to his life, as a person, and as an artist. Of course, his life might be much different now, after 16 years later from when this book was publish, but his childhood, and the experience of Boy Zone as well as the important of his family and his mum will not change. It is a good enjoyable lite read for a good wintery read.
