I heard Casey Sheridan on a podcast and decided to check out her work. First let me say, this is absolutely not my genre, well it wasn’t until a day ago. It’s official, as long as it’s a good story, I’m there, all there. Sheridan shows us that you don’t have to write 400-500 pages of prose to give us a great story. She did it in less than a tenth of that with great writing, as her prose is extremely tight. She accomplishes this by combining great imagery and description with action and slick dialogue, all within the same passage. Sheridan’s writing is sensual and seductive with a sense of class and a concise beginning, middle, and end that leaves you somewhere between satisfied and wanting more (if that’s possible).
Check this out: “She noticed the dented, stainless steel counter and the worn red vinyl on the stools around it. The same vinyl covered the seats in the booths, strips of silver duct tape repairing the rips. The buzz of conversations and the clank of dishes filled the air.” Her description puts you right in the thick of things. You can see it, feel it! Alaina’s hot, Scott’s hotter, and Ruby Red Metallic is the hottest. Get your incense, candles, a glass of wine, a little Jazz in the background and sink in the tub with this one. It’s just about the right length.

Ruby Red Metallic is a fast paced story with lots of hot cars and a very hot car thief. Alaina has a thing for fast cars, whether they are classics or luxury models. Her dream car is a Porsche and she will stop at nothing until she gets her hands on one.
Scott happens to have a ruby red Porsche that he is very partial to. He runs into Alaina and can’t believe his luck, not only is she beautiful but she knows cars. He takes her somewhere quiet to “talk” but she turns the tables on him and leaves him stranded.
I love Alaina’s character; you don’t see many female car thieves. She uses her assets to get what she wants without getting caught. She truly loves cars and what makes them run. She feels like she’s doing them a favor when she steals their cars because most of them don’t even know what they’ve got.
Even though this is short story, the author allows Alaina’s character to grow. In the beginning, she does just what she needs to get access to the cars. By the time she meets Scott, he makes her stop and re-evaluate what she wants out of life. She didn’t know how to take Scott; he was the first man to offer her a ride, without her having to do something in return. He also knows what’s under the hood of his car, unlike the rest of them.
The story is fast paced and a fun read. I give Ruby Red Metallic 3½ Flaming Hearts.

You want sexual electricity, wrapped in erotica hotness? Well then you HAVE to pick up Ruby Red Metallic!
Alaina is a smart, sexy woman who's "go-get-um" reflex is triggered by the sight of an amazing car. Her drive for beautiful cars is unlike any I've ever seen, and believe me I've read about some seriously car-crazed males. It's not that Alaina is just wanting a ride in these cars, she's lifting them for clients, and using what god gave her to get what she wants always works! When she meets Scott she finds herself breaking the one rule she has always set for herself, NO SEX. But there's just something about him that makes her want to bend her limits, and I think that little something is Ruby Red Metallic.
This read was most definitely hot, steamy, and amazingly seductive. I only wish that it might have been a tiny bit longer. Alaina is so fierce & sexy, her and Scott made a fabulous pair. So perhaps in the future we'll see the second part to this duo's story? Until then make sure you pick up this hot read!

A fast paced story of a woman who knows what she wants and how to get it. Alaina is both cunning and beautiful, and she goes after her gem - a ruby red Porsche with focused determination, but her fearlessness drives her to new heights with the car's owner, Scott.

Ruby Red Metallic is a very short story of a beautiful woman who knows all about cars, steals cars, and favors the Porsche. She’s also willing to do almost anything to get the car she’s after. It’s a sexy, fun and fast paced read! For the faint of heart, there are several hot, explicit sexual scenes. I enjoyed the read - just wish it had been a bit longer.

I really enjoyed this quick little read. Once I started, I couldn't put it down. I read it in one session and so glad I picked it up. The heroine is a feisty vixen who knows exactly what she wants. Loved the unexpected ending.
