Quote from the book:

"There is a great difference ... "... between the pleasure of whistles and shabbabat (An old instrument like the flute or clarinet), and the pleasure of (Surat) Ya Sin and As-Saffat. "... Between the pleasure of singing shi'r (Poetry) and the pleasure of Surat Al-Shu‘ara.“

The people today have become addicted to music and listening to songs 24/7. nowadays some can‘t even go to the beach or on a walk and just listen to the sounds of nature. rather they need a speaker blasting some songs of lyrics inciting one to haram relationships, s*xual desires, being a „gangster“, violence, vulgar curse words and so on. These things greatly influence a person. music is like an intoxicant

now furthermore look at these singers and hollywood stars and musicians in general. are these happy people? or are they on drugs, alcoholics, having commitment issues changing their partner constantly and even taking their own lives due to depression and a meaningless life of heedlessness. the music industry is demonic.
