Story time with my 9 year old and 5 year old this evening. My daughter read each page aloud to us, and then my little guy turned the page and told us what he thought would happen next in sequence by looking at the illustrations.

So, this was a wonderful time with my kids, reading about a hero dog who rescues a little girl from a poisonous snake. It also lead to an interesting discussion about our own dog, an awesome and sweet-tempered Corgi mix, and a promise for a visit to the animal shelter this weekend.

A great little book, even if it is dated.

I remember this from when I was a kid--I think it was at grandpa's house? Sweet story.
