A YA sports biography written in 1970. I devoured young adult sports biographies in junior high back in the 1970s but hadn't come across this book before. Found it in a used bookstore so ... This biography is a snapshot of Wilt's life and career up to the 1970 season. Included are details on Wilt's introduction to basketball and his high school and college career. Many details presented were new to me although I have read several books about basketball in this era including Wilt's fabled autobiography. Overall a fun and informative read.

This book was written many years at the of Chamberlain's eighth season. The book was nice and informative, but nothing special.

I personally have also wanted to learn about the great basketball players of the past and that's why I chose to read the book Wilt Chamberlain. This book has everything you need to know about basketball legend Wilt Chamberlain. Wilt Chamberlain seemed to nail it in every category being filled with full detail from start to finish. However even if you know everything you need to know about Wilts professional basketball career this book is a lot more than just that. It spends a good portion talking about what he did before the start of his career and what he did after he retired before he passed away. I thoroughly enjoyed this book and I would recommend it to anyone interested in learning about this basketball legend.
