Born and raised in Brooklyn, NY. Attended New York University and graduated with a B.A. in 1963. Married in 1963, had three sons, divorced in 1976. Raised the sons, Andy, Brian and Curtis, alone in New Jersey. Worked for AT&T as a shareowner correspondent, then as an all-around assistant in a construction company, then sold bar steel for an import firm. Left that job as assistant sales manager. I've been writing full time since 1984.

Hobbies: knitting, crocheting, Tae Kwon Do, fencing, archery, shooting, jigsaw puzzles, logic problems, math problems, not cooking.

Don't do my own research, since if I did I'd stay with that and never get any writing done. I usually can finish a novel of about 120,000 words in about three months.

Meet Jilin meern Khay, Prime Xenomediator of the Centran Algamation. And I know what you are thinking, just like Terrilian Reya. Sort of. Only the difference is that Jilin isn't from Central so she isn't quite as arrogant. She didn't like the feelings of loneliness that Empaths experience so she joined a Martial Arts community on her homeworld. And one other little thing: Her abilities have been fully switched on for quite a while now.

A Ronin with the skills of a Ninja and an Honor Code worthy of Bushido. Woe be unto any l'lenda who would dare to think he could take possession of her.

Meet Vennias. Not just a l'lenda but a varinda, adept at using both his body and mind as a weapon. But like all true Rimilian warriors this blonde haired giant with green eyes is firmly convinced that the wenda he has chosen to become his memabra need only obey in all things.

Nothing too spoilery above, but be careful from this point on.

If you have forgotten the events of the The Warrior Victorious allow me to remind you.

Our heroine is transported to an alien planet where she is repeatedly lied to, emotionally manipulated and essentially put on display in the hope that one of the over-muscled over-bearing Males will lay claim to her in order to further some secret agenda.

In the end, the bad people lost and the good people won. That was three months ago. Things are different now. Here's a brief description that should explain how things have changed.

Our heroine is transported to an alien planet where she is repeatedly lied to, emotionally manipulated and essentially put on display in the hope that one of the over-muscled over-bearing Males will lay claim to her in order to further some secret agenda.

Not as different as you might have expected?

I was really feeling like I can't believe this is going to be a replay of The Warrior Within - the banding, the forcing her to get all hot and bothered, the forcing her to walk until she keeled over - but then we go straight to the Savages - The Warrior Enchained - to the letting her leave on her own - The Warrior Within - to the absolute obedience to the letter - The Warrior Challenged combined with the feeling like a monster phase - The Warrior Challenged. And then...

We reach the second half and begin to break new ground - although there was a bit of The Warrior Rearmed when we meet the Conspiracy of the Headband. As we learned before, Empathy is only one of the mental abilities that can be developed. Terry developed both precognitive and telekinetic powers. Jilin's tend toward altering the physical world around her.

By the time I got to the rather surprising events at the very end, I couldn't wait to see what happened next.

I read the Terrilian series years ago. Basically, you have a woman from a higher tech planet going to live on a planet with low tech and is ruled by men. The men are warriors who protect and provide for the women and so they think the women should obey them and if they don't they are beaten with a switch. It does not matter to them if the woman doesn't need or want their protection. Jilin is a warrior in her own right and has mind powers as well. Her attitude of not needing help from the male warriors leads to some interesting situations. She decides to leave the planet but there are those who try to keep her from going. This book has more action than the Terrilian series did. I like it more and will read the next book for sure.

Ok but not compelling

I like the main protagonist but there is a lot left to be desired. I feel that the world itself lacked depth as did any of the other characters. The main charater seems to have little background to clearity her actions. Some of the actions she takes and "trapped" situations she gets into fall flat. Just seems to be missing a lot.

Arrival into bondage

First book of a great series which follows Sharon Green's Terellian Warrior Series. This focuses on the adventures of a female psychic warrior Jilin who is brought to the planet Rimillia under false pretenses. The female empathise are given into sexual bondage to the native males who have psychic abilities. The false promise was that they were to be trained in their abilities so they could help maintain the freedom and safety of all those who are talented. This means that those on the planet are supposed to be the good guys. Unfortunately they are using dishonorable methods and it takes a psychic of Jilin's power to put a stop to this abuse. Spanking and Dominance attempted with minor success.
