Favorite society book so far!!!! It really opened my eyes to Acts!! I know that the Bible book contained all of Paul's experiences, but I had never thought they could be so exciting!!! It was an adventure!!! A wonderful adventure that strengthens your faith and trust in God ^.^
Contains accurate information about first century Christians. Based on the book of Acts found in the Bible. Easy to read and understand with questions after each paragraph. Recommend to anyone who wants accurate account of the preaching work of first century Christians.
I read this book twice, once on my own, and then later with the congregation. What lessons are there for daily living for modern Christians to glean from the life experiences of Jesus' apostles as conveyed in the Bible Book of Acts? This book makes much practical use of the fine examples of these faithful men, and shows clearly how we can mirror their strong faith today in our daily living and in our own ministries.
Gorgeous illustrations, very concise descriptions of the book of Acts. Absolutely loved it. Really brings things to life and has extra information about peoples, places, things, etc. from Bible times.
A first century "yearbook" of the Christian congregation. A wonderful faith strengthening account that builds confidence in Jehovah and his son, Jesus, seeing how the holy spirit sustains us in zealously "bearing thorough witness" regardless of apathy, opposition and persecution.
This book really made the Bible book of Acts of the Apostles come to life! I thoroughly enjoyed traveling with the Apostle Paul on his missionary tours. This book showed how it wasn't a coincidence that the 1st Century followers of Jesus Christ expanded and succeeded in spreading the gospel all over the then-known world. They believed that they had God's backing and Jesus' support and it showed in their increase. It was very faith-strengthening to read this fast moving account of how the 1st Century Christians continued the work of the founder of Christianity, Jesus. By their obedience to his word and imitating his pattern of life, they showed that they were his true followers. I learned many beneficial and practical pointers from reading this book.
This is not a book intended to replace the Bible by any means. Instead, its designed to take you into your Bible and explore more deeply the First Century Christians that are featured in the book of Act of the Apostles. I was thrilled to dive deeper into a history that is honestly difficult to keep straight. Between the various missionary tours and the vast array of characters, its hard to keep everything straight. This book helps with that.
I was glad to start studying this and very sad to see it end.
Utterly useless apart from motivating one to commit suicide!!!! Written by Tony Sorbi of the Priory congregation of the Jehovah's Witnesses, he was in the Shoeburyness congregation when he wrote it. It is a total and utter shambles of a book 📖.
