I liked the format of the book, each "issue" was addressed individually, but in all honestly, most of it was either common sense or not very useful. I feel it focused a lot on consequences. Many of these "difficult behaviours" need entire books of their own: anxiety, peer-pressure, bullying, anger, etc. and cannot be addressed with a couple of pages. If you're looking for a quick-fix, this might be the book for you. But for anyone dealing with real issues requiring long-term solutions, then skip it entirely.
I liked this book because it addresses individual behavioral issues individually. I have a child that gives up easily and was wondering what to do about it. I like how it addresses what you as a parent can do specifically. There were 38 behaviors this author addresses from biting to laziness to inability to keep friends. I thought it was a good resource.
This book addresses 38 difficult behaviors and gives several specific steps on how to eliminate them. I thought the ideas were practical and good reminders of what to do to help children change negative behavior.
some good suggestions. I liked how you could pick which behavior you wanted to work on, instead of having to read the WHOLE book. I only needed 1 or 2 chapters for now.
