The Sign

Rate this book
Can we know when the end of the age will occur, or even what will happen when it comes? Will the church experience a time of terrible persecution at the hands of a real Antichrist? These questions have profound implications. Ultimately, for all of us, eternity hangs in the balance. The Sign has tackled the challenge of answering these questions by tracing God's plan for the nation of Israel and the church as revealed from the Old Testament to the New. Taking Scripture at face value and expecting a literal fulfillment of biblical prophecy concerning the last days, author Robert Van Kampen offers this end-times road map--including the sequence of events and the timing of the Rapture--without crossing the line into date-setting. What you read here may very well challenge you to take biblical prophecy more seriously and give you an urgency to search the Scriptures for yourself. But even more importantly, may it move you to examine your heart deeply, be assured of your eternal destiny, and direct your sights to the blessed hope of the Lord's second coming.

This book completely changed my view of Revelation. As an Assembly of God member we were always taught that we would be whisked off to bliss while the world suffered, but The Sign uses much better analysisi of the scriptures and proves, using scripture, that the Pre-Tribulation" rapture theory is simply not in line with what the bible teaches.

The author's work is well thought out and extremely organized. His overview of the Scriptures relating to end time events is as exhaustive as possible and very understandable and persuasive. Anyone with an interest in end times prophecy could benefit from this work. Many years of his life have gone into the study and I've yet to find another work that covers the topic better.

The Author's perspective and research on this subject appears to be well defined and quite educational; and this book is based on biblical truths and spiritual revelation that is inspired by the Lord to prepare His people for End Time Events which is happening right now.

A book that should be required reading for every seminary student. Written by a man who clearly studied the scriptures and wanted to share his learning of how end time events may take place. Full of insight and wisdom.

I've read a hundred books on this topic (hobby) and none are better than this one. The research and details impressed me so much, it caused me to change my way of thinking. Being a lawyer, that wasn't easy to do either.

Well-done and a different take on the Second Coming of Christ. Needs to be read and studied and dissected. Lots to think on in this book.

An exceptional and unconventional study of End-Time Events as predicted in the Holy Bible. What I love about this book is the scholarly approach to visiting each and every mention of end-times in the Bible and forming conclusions based on what the scripture actually says—not on what we might like it to say. This is a superb study aid for anyone interested in eschatology, and for anyone interested in what the end times may actually look like (which is not what you might think).

If you have never read Pre-Wrath Rapture of the Church by Marvin J Rosenthall I recommend picking that one up and reading it and then read this one next. It is a good overview of Revelations based on the Pre-Wrath rapture view. Very interesting book with lots of good information in it
