I was quite impressed. This book was remarkably well-written with hundreds of quotes and lots of YouTube videos to help watch that particular person with a disability. After I heard about Nancy Shugart on TEDx Conference this past February, I did not expect as a reader to understand such pain and emotion that is almost drawn out of this book. The author carefully describes each and every biographical detail as it was, it is even short and to the point. I wish I really had the time to share my own story as a blind and visually impaired college student reading this book and telling myself everyday I am out to succeed in everyday life and make a difference. My main goal is to prove them wrong, any which way I can, in order to ultimately lead a successful life and accomplish all of my goals. I understand fully that for each person mentioned in this book it was not easy to achieve all of his/her goals. Thanks for giving such a carefully descriptive dialogue and biographical side of the blind people that really, truly make a difference in society today. You really are a standout person and role model for the blind when it comes to self-expression in the disability and blind communities. Thanks for changing what it means to be blind. Blindness is not the characteristic that defines you or your future. Everyday we raise the expectations of blind people, because low expectations create obstacles between blind people and our dreams. This book proves that you can have the life you want; blindness or any physical or mental challenging disability is not what holds you back.
