+ ⭐️: I appreciate how scandalous this was. From Diana to Jeffery to Casey and Patrick, there was a lot to work with. Kept me on my toes for sure.
+ ⭐️: For the amount of characters, plot points, and having to keep everyone together, this was woven together so well. I was able to keep up with 400+ pages of twists and loved it. This is something I admire and plan to use as a reference with character development where the characters are highly interactive with each other through the whole book.
+ ⭐️: Jeffery reaaaaalllly screwed himself over in his whole situation, and I had no idea how Stone would write him out of this one. I liked the full circle and resolution.
- ⭐️: Please, for the love, I need some different terms than “tenderly” and “slowly” for lovemaking. The scenes themselves were written pretty normally, and I understand there was a sense of passion, but I found myself looking at the scenes blandly due to the fact that those were about the only two descriptive words.
- ⭐️: Since this was told in third person, the POV was pretty solid, but there wasn’t a balance of popping into the character’s head with their thoughts. Lots of back and forth of intense emotion, but it didn’t feel balanced to me.
