Norman is a garden gnome and leads a quiet happy existence. That is, until he sees his wonder Mr Goodfellow leaving with packed bags one day, never to see return. The spiders and insects start taking up residence on Norman and he does not appreciate this. Along comes Darling (a little girl) and starts taking an interest in Norman. She dresses him up in weird and wonderful outfits and takes him on outings, along with some rather deranged looking dolls. It ends up that Norman is loved and cared for by Darling and enjoys all the wonderful outings that take place.
Quite hilarious short tale of Norman the garden gnome whose world is turned upside down when someone new takes over his world. Very amusing and well written tale that has just the right amount of humour and is quite dry in its observations on life.
