A Broken-Hearted Chef with a Big Dream. An Architect with a Past. A High School Crush. What could go wrong?

When Hope Gibson broke up with her fiancé, she lost everything. She returns to her small hometown of Harmony Ridge with a modest savings account and big dreams of opening her own restaurant. However, she soon learns that her own father and his cronies in the county government have every intention of blocking her plans.

Hope’s high school crush, Lone McGregor, is not having any better luck. The death of his grandfather forces him away from his high-speed life as an architect in Los Angeles to repair and sell the property he inherited in Harmony Ridge. As a member of the least popular family in the county and boasting a hell-raising reputation of his own, he too finds the local government standing in his way. When Lone concocts an ingenious plan to solve both their problems, they must commit to working together. And manage not to fall in love…

A Blueprint for Hope is a sweet romance and is Book One in the Harmony Ridge Romance Series. Each book in the series can be read as a stand-alone novel. Keep up with your favorite couples by reading them in order. Happily Ever After guaranteed!

I really enjoyed this book.

When Hope's alcoholic and emotionally abusive father pulls strings in the county government to stop her opening a restaurant in her hometown, she must turn to a highly unlikely ally for help. Her high school crush and one of her father's most hated enemies, Lone McGregor has come back to town with plans to sell his inherited property. Hope's father manages to get the property condemned out of spite.

What follows is a lovely romance.

I enjoyed Hope's character arc as she learns to trust her own judgement and value herself despite all the people in her life who have trained her not to. Lone is supportive and opinionated without being overbearing or intrusive, which would have ruined the story for me. I hate romances where one of the characters is trying to "fix" the other.

Overall, a nice, quick beach read with plenty of heart.

I have to say that it's pretty difficult to find a good sweet romance: one that isn't too syrupy or that rests on circumstances which are so ridiculous that it's difficult to suspend disbelief. This is it.

The plot is somewhat standard to the genre: two beautiful, young people come back to their small hometown after years away in the big city. What makes it stand out are the touches of darkness in both the town and in the protagonists' families. Harmony Ridge is not a fantasy land filled with perfect people, improbable incomes, and endless amounts of free time and twinkle lights. Being grounded in reality makes you really root for the characters. The author has found a great balance of dark and light, funny and heart-warming.

I'll definitely be looking for the next in the

Coming Home

A great coming back home story in which everyone learns they are different from who they were when they were in high school.

A well paced and entertaining book. I’d have given it a 5 star rating but there were a few glaring editing mistakes that took away from the overall read but not enough to not make me love the story.

Sweet romance.

Teenaged crushes brought up to date. Two students from completely different backgrounds meet up after 10 years. Their backgrounds are still at odds, but their feelings grown stronger.
Interesting background into the restaurant culture.
Nice.

Sweet clean romance. I liked Lone and Rory. The book ended abruptly so not sure what to think about that.

Good Read

This is a good book. It has a reasonable plot and flows well. I enjoyed it and it read it primarily in one sitting, which means it held my interest. Well done.

There is something fundamentally wrong with the couple dynamics. Weak h, waits to H to realise he loves her and all is well.

Ahh, it took my pushing through the pages to get to see the heart but it was so worth
it. Hope and Lone are what I can see is real.
