When Zenda visits her cousins on the planet Crystallin, she is dazzled by this sparkling world of jewels. It's amazing to spend time on a world so unlike her own. The brilliant jems and dazzling people around her almost make Zenda forget about her own special gift for working with plants. But Zenda's talents are called upon when a shocking event helps her remember that all that glitters is not gold.
The Zenda book series is amazing. You will definitely want to read them all! Sadly, I only have the first 6 books, so that will be as far as I get to read. ------------ I enjoyed this story about Zenda and her parents going to Crystallin to spend time with her Uncle Ciro's family, including her cousins - Stella and Kaitlyn.
Stella and her friends are extreme brats that love to question authority and sneak around behind their parents backs. I did not like them at all till the very end.
Kaitlyn is as much of a plant lover as Zenda. She mostly likely has the gift of *Kani* as well. If you didn't know better, you'd swear she was born on Azureblue as well. Zenda seems kinda drawn to Kaitlyn from the start.
Luckily, when Stella and friends get in trouble sneaking around, Zenda and Kaitlyn come to their rescue. Only then does Stella seem half-@$$ friendly towards her sister. --------------- Zenda receives 2 musings in this book. She is slowly gathering them.
Zenda is thrilled that she gets to spend spring break on the planet Crystallin, staying with her cousins, whom she's never met before. Her younger cousin, although very kind and caring, loves plants, which Zenda is half sick of, since she's around them so much on her own planet. Zenda's older cousin, Stella, is pretty, and cool. So Zenda is happy that Stella accepts her into her group of friends. But exactly how far will Zenda go to stay in the group?
