This was one lusty, bawdy, little historical erotic romance! I can count on one hand the number of historical erotic romances I've read, so this was a nice change of pace from the typical contemporary erotic romance. The book moved along at a fast pace, there were no boring parts that I was tempted to skip over, and the H/H were clearly falling in love. All good signs.

The story takes place in London of the 1880s, and the heroine, Pamela Kingston, is finally returning to her home after completing her schooling. Since her father died when she was in her teens, she has been the ward of her father's protege, Peter Rennard. Peter is a lawyer who is 13 years her senior, having first met Pamela when she was just seven. What Pamela doesn't know is that over the years, Peter has developed strong feelings for her. Feelings strong enough that he doesn't trust himself around her. He sends her off to boarding school and then to the University, just so he isn't tempted by her mere presence. Her father's will stipulates that she must live with Peter until she marries, or Peter forfeits the right to manage her estate and his share of the trust. Peter doesn't know how he is going to make it living with Pamela while keeping his hands off of her. What he doesn't know is Pamela feels the same way about him!

Since she was a young teen, Pamela has been obsessed with Peter; no one else has ever interested her. Now that she is finally coming home, she's determined that Peter sees her as a woman, and not a young girl. Pamela has no interest in getting married to anyone, especially because getting married would cause her to lose control of her inheritance to her husband. Until the laws are changed and a woman can retain her holdings upon marriage, Pamela will not consider marriage. That means living with her guardian--Peter. Will Peter be able to resist Pamela's considerable charms, and do the honorable thing, as he sees it? Or will he fall head-over-heels in love with the saucy, bold woman that Pamela has become?

I really enjoyed this scorching hot little romance. Peter and Pamela were one lusty couple, who strangely enough, sometimes used their household help to "spend", as they put it! (And I'm not talking money!) There was a romance going on between the H/H--it wasn't all just about the sex, either. So if you don't mind some explicit language, some 'spanking', some f/f encounters, and a couple of menage scenes, along with a well-written, pretty hot romance, then this may be the book you're looking for. I for one am definitely becoming a fan of this author!

No puede haber un libro más mediocremente narrado que este. =.= Para ser erótica deja BASTANTE que desear. Horrible con todas las letras. Ni vale la pena continuarlo.

I have decided that erotica is not for me. The plot was okay, but needed some work. I found the "spanking" to be tedious...
