glued to the end

Great short story! Pulled me in , keeping my attention glued to the end. Unexpected twists & ending. It could be a gripping hit novel if longer, via the characters’ development (of both the tight-knit sleepy town & both families) for the reader to emotionally bond with as the ominous ‘friendly doggie’ build-ups weave into the gripping rollercoaster of this great story!
