Reviews

[Katy Wimhurst]

Very well researched but a little hard going to read.

[Grant Hodgson]

Very well written biography that shone some light on some interesting people that crossed his path such as TE Lawrence, Max Mallowan and Agatha Christie, but besides the main storyline of his archaeological achievements was the sad story of his marriage to what appears to have been a rather awful woman, and his foolish relationship with an even worse woman after his first wife’s death.
