Want a clear, simple version of the Vinland Sagas? Inspired by both the 1965 Yale Vinland Map and the memory of her third grade teacher saying she was wrong about who discovered America, Schiller makes the saga of the Norse discovery and temporary settlement of Newfoundland and Labrador accessible. While this is meant for young people, I still enjoyed learning more about the tale that I share at storytime during the Leif Erickson Festival in a small town in my region.

The black and white illustrations were interesting.
