I'm growing grapes--maybe wine will come of it, but I doubt it. Anyway, if you want to grow grapes in your backyard, this is the book to get. Very informative, easy to digest the info, great diagrams on planting schemes, excellent advice/info on how to tend grape pines.

Full disclosure- I did not finish this book. I enjoyed reading this, it was a good beginner reference for basic wine-making and growing. It gives you a basic outline for growing grape vines and making wine. It's easy to read and the chapters go by quickly.

Ok book on vinting your own grapes and making wine. It's not much detail, but pretty cheap and nice pictures. It's also cool to have a book with something other than a california background.
