The Edolas Arc finally concludes as our guild returns back to Earth and there’s a big surprise involving a long-lost member. After the celebrations, it’s back to business as the annual S-Class Rank Wizard Test is here and the guild is put into pairs and descend to Tenrou Island where the first master is buried. First we follow Lucy and Cana, who has her personal reasons to pass the test. A (100%/Outstanding)
I'm looking at you Oda).
We are finally finished up with the Edolas arc and although not my favorite arc in the whole series, Natsu says one of my favorite lines in the entire series while reciting Fairy Tail's official goodbye with Mystogen/Jellal which says "Even when you screw up you gotta live life with all the strenght you got all the time. You can't go thinking of your life as something small or not worth it. And you can't ever forget the friends you love." Ahh I love it and very wise words too, this is why I love Japanese fiction in general because from what I've read it focuses on community/friendships rather romance/sex.
This volume also starts the S-Class Test for our Fairy Tail members which will carry on until volume thirty if I remember right. I will say that there was one thing that did annoy me in this volume and a common theme in Fairy Tail (and in shonen manga) .
Okay folks let's buckle up for the next arc, I'm almost at the end of what I own with the series which is thirty-six volumes as much as I love Fairy Tail, I will need the break from it lol. I'm glad I will finally be reviewing all the volumes I own so now I won't have to reread the whole series when I bulk buy the next batch for this series. See you in volume 25. :)
I like Kana so I am really happy because she is the main protagonist in this volume, and there is a new member Mest make me thrilled.😄😄 He is a mysterious and suspicious person...! To be honest, he is a member of 🤭🤫🤐!!!!
It's time for the S-class wizard exam. Only one wizard gets to advance, and there are eight candidates. but Carla has a bad feeling about the exam, and it looks like a mysterious and deadly new character is on a collision course with Fairy Tail.
Cana finally takes center stage in this issue, to an extent. I've been wondering for ages about what her deal is, and it looks like this may be the arc where we learn more about her past and what motivates her.
God help me, I’m barely a third of the way done with this series. Its bad, inconsistent, and convenient writing, and its relentless assault of questionable fanservice were a lot easier to bear when I was younger and reading along on a weekly-ish basis.
The arcs flow into one another with the same grace and elegance of a grandfather tumbling down a staircase. I know writing an ongoing weekly series is exceptionally challenging, but the author, unfortunately, just does a bad job of it.
Natsu tells Mystogan to fight him for real. Like proper punches and kicks Natsu gives Mystogan the ‘Fairytail send off’ but his way. With the same rules that Erza gave Shô, Millianna and, Wally. After he gives his farewell he is ‘defeated’ The exceeds and earth-wizards are being sucked back to earth, since all the magic in Edolas has been drawn back to the Anima! Even Lily!!! Queen Chagot reveals that they sent 100 exceed eggs to earth. Carla has a gift of foresight herself, and she had created her own ‘orders’ based on fragmented visions of Edolas’s future Queen Chagot is Carla’s mum… and the couple who were exiled and on that farm are Happy’s :3 PANTHERLILY IS TINYYYY And Lisanna? Is in earthland…? Wait it IS Earth-Lisanna When she went on the job with her siblings and knocked unconscious, she was sucked through a small anima pocket into Edolas Edolas Elfman and Mira already knew Lisanna wasn’t from Edolas, but didn’t tell her they knew OH AND IT WAS HER DEATH ANNIVERSARY!! She runs to them at her grave (major goosebumps) The guild celebrates her return and talk about the differences of the Edo-Fairy’s I love how much Gajeel boasts about Lily The new Magic Council is deciding what is to be done with Fairytail, Gran Dima (the new chairman of MC) decides that FT has one more problem before he will force them to disband Some man in the woods is drinking by the river and wolves come to attack but he is more afraid of his power to hurt them rather than being hurt. (Yes I am fully aware who this man is, but for the sake of the element of surprise, I pretend I don’t know) He says Natsu’s name? After claiming the world rejects him… Cana joins Lucy for a bath, asks about how her relationship with her dad is going then casually drops she’s been thinking of leaving the guild… huhhhh? Mira claims that she always says that around this time of year AND then everyone in the guild is going crazy to do jobs Lily and Erza were practicing their sword fighting
-Tenrou Island Arc- The S-class wizard test is here! The qualifying wizards are: Natsu, Gray, Juvia, Elfman, Cana, Fried, Levy (YAYYYYYYY), Mest Gryder(?) They will take place on ‘Sirius Island’ a sacred ground for the FT guild Carla see’s a concerning vision: Cana crying, a hand on the ground limp, a very concerned Natsu, and an unknown man Levy is so damn cute and prettyyyyy!!! The contenders can pick a partner to do the trials with At some point a team may have to fight Erza or Mira or… Gildarts…. Contenders and Partners: - Natsu+Happy - Gray+Loke/Leo - Fried+Bickslow - LEVY+GAJEEL (IM KICKING MY FEEET!!) - Cana+Lucy - Juvia+Lisanna - Elfman+Evergreen - Mest+Wendy Cana has been nominated 5 times now Sirius Island is the resting place of Mavis Vermillion, the first Fairytail master rests Fried puts up an enchantment to give them a head start, Levy and Ever can override it but the choose to only allow their own group through LEVY IS SUCH A QUEEN Cana and Lucy go the path of battle, where they’re put against Fried and Bickslow Fried asks for more clothes to be put on the girls, giving Cana the idea of summing lots of bikini wearing women AQUARIUSSSSSS Fried and Bickslow go down. They did it on purpose though, and debt repayment? Natsu goes down the path to fight Gildarts..
I absolutely LOVE the amount of Gajeel + Levy we got. I love them so much!!!

I could link this review instead of writing my own for the rest of the volumes of this series that I own (up through vol. 39, for the record), since I've been saying similar things in mine for quite some time, but that would be lazy, so here goes.
The first part of this volume puts the finishing touches on the Edolas arc. The cat folk all come to Earthland, because it's more fun to have them there than to leave them behind on Edolas.
After that, a character long thought dead is--with no foreshadowing whatsoever, per this series' normal--found to be still alive. I understand an author's reluctance to let characters stay dead, but still, this kind of nullifies any impact their absence might have had previously in the story, and also makes one think that any future death could also be reversed. Oh well, no sense in taking a series that has a rather... freewheeling approach to plot very seriously.
Next comes what looks to be a lengthy arc where Fairy Tail's annual "S Class" challenge has come around. It's being held on a tropical island, so of course there's a bunch of fanservice with women in swimsuits.
There's a character in a separate scene or two who I don't think we've met before (I honestly don't remember half of the characters beyond the main cast, so we might have seen him (shrug)) who kills animals and plants in his proximity. Given what I said a couple of paragraphs ago, there's no need to see him as the slightest threat to our cast.
I don't think I've read this far in any battle manga before. This isn't to say that I've made it this far in Fairy Tail because of its outstanding quality. :D The art's pretty good, and the characters are rather endearing in a one-note way, and it isn't an accident that what I'm saying feels a lot like damning with faint praise. It's a decent thing to read as a break between grown-up books, but there's no way on earth those 39 volumes will come along with me when I retire.
This will be my full review for this entire series. I already read this comic from volume 1-30. Suppose there 50 volume more of this series but I prefer not to finish it as I don't really like the time-skip idea in this series.
To clarify, I love the idea of time-skip. But, in this series, I really hate it. It make Natsu and other main member weaker. Why make them weaker? I want to see MC progress throughout the series. Then, suddenly become weaker. Not to mention when MC want to win each battle, power of friendship keep coming back each battle.
Furthermore, there are a lot of un-explained things happened in this series. The dots are not connected rather than scattered throughout the series. It just there to fill the plot-hole. Rather than explaining, Mr Hiro keep continuing the series and keep adding new characters each volume.
So, after the time-skip, I determine to stop reading this series. I don't want to ruin my memories of this awesome series. For most part, this series actually had huge potential because of interesting and lovable character, but the plot is keep on damaging this series slowly.
4/5 Volume 24 wraps ups the goofy Edolas Arc. Definitely not my favorite arc but it wasn’t terrible. However now we’re moving into the Tenrou Island Arc where 8 Fairy Tail Members go to take their test to become S-Rank wizards. This arc is looking more interesting to me so let’s hope.
The candidates for the test are Natsu, Gray, Juvia, Cana, Levy, Freid, Elfman, and a previously unknown member named Mest. Each person is also able to bring one partner with them. Natsu chooses Happy as his partner so this should be entertaining. In the meantime Carla is having a premonition that something terrible will happen at the exam.
This volume also had a shocking reveal about Lisanna.
The cover for 24 features our 8 test candidates and the 3 Exceed Cats.
I took almost a month break from the last volume. Read 12/3/21
Natsu makes a great sacrifice so that peace may reign in Edolas! Meanwhile an unexpected individual once thought dead…turns out to be very much alive! A lot of emotions carry the first half of this volume while the second half deals with Magic Counsel…and their short fuse on Fairy Tails antics…. which I am positive is a prelude to more things to come, and in this book, it usually does not take long for these situations to come to a head. The next up is the Fairy Tail S Rank Tournament! This is something that seems awesome and even though intense, is a break from the occurrences that have kept the Guild jumping beyond anyone’s imagination other than its creator Hiro Mashima. Art is beautiful as always and story is fun and lighthearted. Another winner in the long running series!
Thoughts on this volume: • Lisanna coming back and the NaLu part of me kicking back into gear LOOK AT LUCY LOOKING AT HIM ALL CUTESY AND FOND AND SHIT. SHE'S BLUSHING. • I don't get why the exceed didn't just claim their kids tbh, like Lucky my man, just tell Happy you're his dad. He's like six, there's some things he's going to need to know about life soon that Natsu cannot explain. • Nobody take that goddamn cat from Gajeel, so help me, god. • TENROU ARC! TENROU ARC! NOBODY CALLS IT FUCK AS SIRIUS ISLAND THAT IS TENROU!!! • Once again this is a PEAK FT story line. • Cana drama is so good, I can't wait for it to get going again. • I cannot for the life of me remember if Loke ends up fighting against Lucy at any point during this arc... would he be able to?

aww so mystogan is accepted as the prince in the eyes of the people of edolas. and then fairy tail is sucked back into the anima along with the population of exceed all to return to earth-land.
I’m hoping that happy with have a chance to be with his parents!
Wait… is Carla the daughter of the queen? so she is actually a princess? ahhh
Gajeel got his cat, heheh. I’m excited to see if they make a good duo.
…and Lisanna is back for real? Omg what happened to her was so sad I cried ):
The second half of this volume was great but I didn’t love it as much as I would with other volumes. Even though the Edolas concept was interesting, I didn’t really feel the connection or excitement I normally do with most volumes of Fairy Tail. I do feel though that I’m getting back into the grove now with the second half and I’m ready for the next couple of volumes to come to the library as quickly as possible!
Gajeel starting to bond with Lily and Levy was interesting, and I’m happy to be getting to know more about Cana, but this one just had way too many perverse jokes. Even Fried and Bickslow being gentlemen kind of got ruined.
