A wonderful accounting of California throughout the past 200 years with well paired photography and accountings from timeless observations of well-know writers. An absolute joy if you’ve ever once truly traveled within California or lived there.

Splendid collection of Ansel Adams' photographs of California. I enjoyed nearly all of the "classic California writings" as well, short essays, poems, letters, folk tales.
