As a child, thoughts of far-off places and adventure consistently kept Lori up late at night. After graduating high school, she came to the conclusion that there was no better way to seek adventure and nourish her love of history than to become an archaeologist. She went on to receive a degree in anthropology, but digging in the dirt during humid Midwestern summers wasn’t exactly as fun as she thought it would be.

Instead, she went to work in an air conditioned museum where she spent her days surrounded by creepy Victorian animal mounts. Still, she wasn’t satisfied.

Deciding the people in her imagination were slightly more exciting than the dead things in a museum basement, she set out to write her first romance novel. That book was soundly rejected. As was the next. Years went by and she began to wonder if she’d ever see her dream fulfilled. Until one day she came up with an idea for a book that brought together her love of history and adventure: a book now titled Wild Heart. Since Wild Heart's release, Lori has written Historical Romance, Contemporary Paranormal Romance and Young Adult.

Lori currently resides in the Southern U.S., where she juggles her time between a husband, a son, a golden retriever, a cat and the many, many people in her imagination.

A small village vicar’s daughter hides dark and dangerous secrets and the new owner of the neighboring estate is more than he seems. The bucolic countryside is roused when a local ne’er do well lord is found murder forcing shadowy truths to be revealed.

I do love a good gothic-style historical fantasy so I was pleasantly surprised when I finally picked up A Night of Secrets where it had lain languishing on my device bookshelf and gave it a go. The story opens with an intriguing and mysterious prologue before chapter one beings a few years later in a different setting.

There are hints of the supernatural in the opener, but then I wasn’t sure if I’d picked up the right vibes when the step forward into chapter one gave a hint of antagonistic romantic attraction and a murder mystery. It kept me wondering only as far as the next chapter where the hints became facts.

Meg James the oldest surviving daughter of a tarnished former vicar and her family are living quiet and poor in their home village harboring because they’re harboring a secret. The family reputation keeps them outside polite country local society and her only friend is the abused wife of a spoiled rake of a lording living nearby.
Gray has tracked the answers to his sister’s murder and his deceased sister’s child to the James family. His encounter with the spirited Meg has him reeling. Meg is definitely hiding something and the lies pile up, but is she a murderess or hiding one? Something and someone dark is in this village and he needs to get answers- and resist the temptation that is Meg James. So, why is he wondering if she can accept the astonishing truth of who and what he is?

While this story grabbed my interest from the first page and I loved that it has a paranormal aspect paired with Regency period romance and a good murder mystery, I did struggle with the romance development.
I felt this pair were all over the place with each other right from the first scene. For someone who claims to be trying to repair the family reputation through her own actions and also claims to need to keep secrets to protect the youngest girl in her household, Meg’s actions and mouth were out of alignment with those claims. She drew attention and she provoked unnecessarily. Grayson is tracking down his missing niece and the answers to his sister’s murder, but waffles when he knows the truth when he is demonstratively decisive in other ways. Then there is the insta-lusty that hits this pair right away and drives the relationship.
But, for all that, I didn’t want to put the book down and I was into Meg and Grayson’s story. They both had good hearts who loved their families and were both loyal, natural protectors. I enjoyed the reveal that I only got an inkling of not long before the others discovered the truth of what was going on.

All in all, this plunge into a new to me author and a new series was a success and I want the other two stories that are part of the series. Those who enjoy a mash of genres like paranormal romance and historical romance with mystery need to add this spicy offering to the wish list.

This book was ridiculous. The hero thought that the heroine killed his sister. Don't know why he thought that. The heroine is young, a virgin, and a vicar's daughter. Even though he thought she killed his sister he had no problem making out with her whenever he got a chance. Then the heroine was thrown in jail for killing her best friend husband with no evidence or reason. Then the hero broke the heroine out of jail, and the constable who locked her up didn't ask him any questions like, why, or how? When the hero asked the heroine to marry him, she said no a million times. Don't know why, she has nowhere to live, she has no money, she is being accused of murder, and she has to support her drunk of a father, her two sisters and a vampire child. Even though I found this book to be dumb I did enjoy the end. That's why I gave it two stars instead of one.

Read my review at Demon Lover's Books & More

Laurie over at www.bittenbyparanormalromance.com once suggested one of this author’s books, and I loved it! (The Ghost Hunter) Then I read a story in Entangled that was historical vampires, and had to read more.

I enjoyed this one. It's got a lot going on in it, which kind of works against it, but I like the fresh voice and the story enough that I didn't mind. The only thing I just did not like was the heroine's body betrayed her at every chance it got. I just can't stand when a heroine is (rightly) pissed at the hero and his very nearness turns her into a pot of simmering hormones. I take that back, once or twice in a book, it's fine, but it was all the dang time in this one!

That being said, I really REALLY had a hard time putting the book down. I liked the characters, and I liked the hero having to sort of regain his humanity and relearn emotions. The one thing I really like that was stressed in this book, is that the vampires don’t think of humans as anything more than a means to an end. A food source. Now I don’t mean in the cruel way, just in the way that humans are there, but the vampires keep to themselves. So for Grayson to have these annoying twinges in the vicinity of his heart was a great touch.

The book opens with Meg visiting London on a charity mission with her father, the vicar of their little town. She witnesses an atrocity, a beautiful woman asks for her help, and gains the promise to watch out for her daughter Collette. And then the woman falls over in a pool of blood while shadows with glowing eyes take her away.

A couple years later, Meg is swimming with her youngest sister Hanna out at the pond, which is where the new owner of the neighboring property finds her. . .and he finds a dead body.

Grayson is looking for his niece Collette, and all of his leads have led him to Meg’s family. Could Hanna be his long-lost niece? If she is, she’s going to go through a massive change in a few months. But Grayson’s search for Collette is constantly hindered by Meg, and since all of his thoughts are consumed with Meg, he realizes that he’s not being very observant. Two vampires are in the area, there have been several murders, and Meg is a suspect.

I loved the story, I think the suspense plot was a teeny bit weak, but I was definitely surprised by the culprit. He was a nasty sort, too. But Meg and Grayson do get their HEA, and I would recommend this book to anyone who wants a quick and interesting Historical Paranormal Romance.

***Thank you to the author for the ebook

I loved this book from start to finish. Grayson (Gray) was absolutely heart flutter worthy the entire time. He's dark and mysterious. He keeps secrets at all times. But he only keeps them to protect others. He has only come to town to find his niece, get her back and kill every last member of the family that has her because he is under the mistaken impression that they murdered his sister and kidnapped his niece. There is also the fact that he must find her before it is her time to go through the change. Humans would never understand and they would kill her or cast her out! The only problem is that when he meets " Meg" the eldest daughter of the very family he came to slaughter, he knows she is not being totally honest with him but he just can't picture her being a murder. What choice does he have when she is telling lies and fresh bodies are piling up all around her?
Hannah's mother was murdered in front of her when she was seven. Meg found her with the child as she lay on the street dying. Meg promised the dying woman that she would protect her daughter. Then her father, a Vicar dragged her and the child into the church while beasts that looked human with yellow glowing eyes dragged off the body. Meg and her father did the only thing they knew to do. They took the child and their family and fled to america to hide. Two years later and Hannah has started acting peculiar. People are dying and disappearing and all clues somehow lead back to Meg. She does not have time for a murder investigation. She must take care of her father, sisters and also hide and keep Hannah safe from the monster that killed her mother and is most more than likely searching for Hannah. He may never give up. She has so much responsibility and no one to rely on. Grayson, The dark and mysteriously troubling new neighbor would allow her to rely on him. But she knows in her gut he's not being honest and has his own agenda. Meg notices that Grayson has the same piercing green eyes as Hannah and her mother, that at times she could swear, seem to glow. She suspects that Hannah's mother was a vampire and she is pretty sure Grayson as well. So what does that make Hannah?!
I give this five out of five stars! It was a roller coaster ride all the way through!

I'm not really a historical fiction/romance kind of person, but I wanted to see what a historical vampire romance would be like, turns out not too dreadful. There were a few slips that a proofreader should have picked up which jarred but it was an easy read.

I'm new to vampires and love. This was short, but it was fairly good. I think my reluctance in saying I LOVed it is that I'm new to vampires or any PNR, so I'm still suspending my disbelief.

Inconsistent and Wrong

This book is plagued by inconsistencies. Furthermore, the author does not understand that England is a Common Law Country. The characters are not compelling enough to make up for the mistakes. It started out promising, then just dragged, much of the reason were the characters.

First book by LB I've read and I will probably be reading a few more in the future. This book is a historical paranormal romance mix. In the past I've had issues with the mixing of these two genres, I prefer to keep those two separate. So I was a little nervous about reading because of my experience with mixing paranormal and historical in the past.

First the highlights, I really loved in the couple chapters where Meg lets loose for a little bit and I loved how protective of Hanna Meg was all throughout the book.

The secondary character of Millie I absolutely adored, probably more than the main characters. I really wanted to read more with her and every time she came into the room/scene I was delighted to read what she had to say. Also Hanna was a fun character, she was a very happy child and I hope that if there is more with this group of characters in the future, and when Hanna is older that she will have a romance. She's a character that I want to read more about.

Also the last 30-40 pages were really entertaining and I was very much interested in who the killer was, what they wanted, why they wanted it. The ending was very satisfying.

Now, as I said before I normally avoid books that mix the two genres of historical romance and paranormal romance. However I have no problem with that part of the novel at all. I thought the blending of those two genres was done very well.

ANoS also had some flaws and they bothered me, the main issue I had was that the main characters, both Meg and Grayson, were constantly going back and forth with each other. I don't mind that a couple of times throughout book but practically every one of their meetings together resulted in one or both pulling away. It got the point where half expected one or the other to run away hysterically if they even saw a glimpse of the other person.

Also there are murders happening in the book. There's a mystery about who is killing these people. This brings me to the other big issue that irritated me.

Overall this book was ok, it had some great moments and then some lackluster moments. But I will be trying out one or two more books by LB in the future.

I wont' say this is a short story... because it comes under 200 pages but for those of you that read fast... I am sure you would consider this short! So, let's see what the world of Meg and Grayson have to offer us!

I have been offered this book for my honest thoughts... So here goes!

Mr. Lori has done it again with another phenomenal historical paranormal read. Ms. Lori gave me everything I needed for a hot and steamy, mysterious and yet compelling story that took me in from the first page all the way to the last. Never was there a dull moment. This is a very riveting read that kept me engrossed all the way through.

This story has a little of everything. There is deceit, disgrace, manipulation, lies, betrayal, heart-ache and pain but there is also honor, devotion, loyalty, courage, and above all love. Ms. Lori put her talent to the test yet again and pulled every emotion from me that I thought possible. This truly is a great love story.

Meg is a daughter, sister, and friend. She is devoted to her family and friends. No matter the cost, she will protect them with her own life if need be. Her loyalty and love for them struck me the most. Meg is the friend you pray you have, the sister you wish was your own. She is an amazing woman. Even in the face of danger, she refuses to cower. Her spirit is another thing I admired as well. She believes in fighting for what she believes is the truth. But what happens when the secrets she keeps cost her her life... Or the life of her family? Does she fight or surrender? What happens when her heart falls for the dangerous man she seeks to run from?

Grayson is a drop dead gorgeous man.... A man with a past and secrets of his own that would scare most, ah hell probably everyone, away. But what helps is that he oozes charm, so that most around him don't notice the beast that lurk within. Living as long as Grayson has, he has grown cold to the idea of happiness, family and most of all - love. Those things were just not meant for him, just like normal life was not meant for him. Until he met the woman who showed up in his life and took his heart and soul (if he had one) by utter storm. But the key to some of his past lay with the woman he is trying to avoid the most. What happens when the person you need the most is the only person that is not afraid of you? Grayson has to face his own demons... And with Meg's help.... Well, let's just say that this is going to be one hell'va ride!

This story is an honor-bound story. Ms. Lori created a world so intriguing that you have to read to see what will happen. Meg and Grayson will capture your heart and not let it go... Their banter, their chemistry, their devotion to preserving what is theirs is just so.... real. The emotions run high for these characters. I can't say to much more because I want you to read the story for yourself... but you must read it!

Ms. Lori, I tip my hat off to you for another spell bounding story! Keep up the awesome work!

When I picked up A Night Of Secrets to read I wasn’t sure what to make of it. A historical paranormal romance isn’t something I had read much of. In fact I don’t read a ton of historical to begin with. I just never have been able to get into most of the historical romances I have picked up in the past.

This book started out well with several chapters that kept me totally engaged. I enjoyed the suspenseful beginning and all the mystery surrounding the dead woman and the child that Meg rescues. Right away though I wasn’t ever entirely sure why the whole town shunned Meg and her family. There were several obscure references but I never fully understood the reasoning.

When Grayson makes his entrance as the new owner of some adjacent property to Meg I really wanted to like him. He’s looking for his dead sister’s child. The same child that Meg rescued several years prior. This child is about to go through a transformation becoming a vampire and finding her is important. Meg has since renamed the girl though so Grayson makes it his mission to uncover the truth. Being a vampire is genetic and humans can’t be turned.

On top of Grayson’s issue with the child, human bodies start piling up around Meg and everyone suspects her of murder, or at the very least being an accomplice. This was the point in the book that I couldn’t focus. I spent until about the middle of the book constantly cursing Grayson. His back and forth on his feelings for Meg got somewhat grating. One minute he’d be wanting to gather her in his arms and the next he was pushing her away. This went on for chapters. Grayson’s thirst for Meg’s blood only intensifies. Plus there was a lot of story telling that I felt could be cut down…or out.

After that half way point the book picked back up again and I was able to get back into it for the most part. Being a historical I generally don’t mind female characters that are more feeble. Meg, was definitely a more feeble character. She was never as outspoken as I wanted her to be. When danger came knocking I wanted her to fight back, but she really never did. I liked her overall but I don’t think I ever fully connected with her as Lori intended.

The last 1/4 of the book was the best. I enjoyed when all the pieces came together and the lies and suspicions are revealed. Grayson never fully thought he was capable of loving someone until meeting Meg and so his last ditch effort to try to make her understand was heart warming.

While A Night Of Secrets didn’t totally work for me, I think those who read historical romance on a regular basis will get more out of it. I am a big supporter of Lori’s work! Her writing style is easy to follow and she has well thought out characters as well as visually appealing settings.

AUTHOR: This is my 1st time reading a book by author Lori Brighton. I found her writing style to be slow and repetitive during various scenes and situations within first half of the book. I must admit that I did not expect much. However, once Lori kicks into action, you cannot put the book down. All I can say is, “stay with it and keep reading”. She writes Historical Romance, Contemporary Paranormal Romance and Young Adult books.

SYNOPSIS -
Grayson, the newest owner of Pease Manor, is looking for his niece. Meg has taken on the burden of trying to protect her disgraced family. Murders are being committed in the small town. Meg knows that there is something strange about Grayson and Grayson is strangely drawn to Meg.

PASSION SCALE: This book gets (3) asterisks for “WISH it was me”. Passion is very strong. Descriptive details of sex and passion a little past lightweight.
* NOT very descriptive and requires imagination
** WILL make you wiggle a little)
*** WISH it was me;
**** OH BODY, whew;
***** EROTICA and well over the top

FAVORITE PART: Things got interesting when William came into the picture.

LEAST FAVORITE PART: The way the Constable questioned the characters. Boring

YOU WILL LIKE THIS BOOK IF YOU LIKE: Historical romance, Mysterious killings, Paranormal romance.

NIGHT OF SECRETS gets (3) Stars because I cannot make a decision as to whether or not there is too much repetition within the book. I will need to read a second book by Lori Brighton before making a better appraisal. She writes well enough for me to want to read a second book.

I was sucked in...I do have to say that the first scene between Meg and Grayson had be going oh not one of "those cheesy" romance stories..But the intrigue, the deception, the "fall" (falling in love I mean) oh it was epic. Had me up till 2:30 in the morning knowing I had to go to work..and then sneeking it in during the day till I was done.

AHHHH!!!this is a paranormal romance I (heart)...It has the passion it has the scary moments it has the dawning of realization that they really do love each other. SO Epic!!!

Meg, a self sufficient vicar's daughter who has cared for her family since her mother died; get herself into a decidely bad situation aiding an abeting a suspected fellon; then having an unseemly relationship with the new owner of Pease Manor. She's got her secrets and Grayson wants her to spill them she just isn't as cooperative as he's used to. And a chalenge is always more fun isn't it?

Her sisters are all for the new raven haired, green eyed man, shoot I was too. Grayson is a dream; from family dedication to down right getting your sexy on in the bedroomm, uh huh!!! He has the intrigue the mystery the hotness you want in a leading man. He also is unsure of what he is feeling for Meg until there comes a time that his only thought is of her and what he may lose forever...

I also wouldn't mind getting to know what's up with Nate of course that is a story for another day.

I give this a huge Thumbs up and look forward to reading more of my Brighton's work.

Plot:

It's the story of Meg, a nice Vicar's daughter, who is more than tempted than a mysterious stranger moves in next door. A hot neighbour. Grayson is a vampire who is hunting for clues about his missing niece and that leads him to Meg, but can she be a killer?

My thoughts:

Meg was nice and sweet, Grayson was very tempting, but a bit of an idiot sometimes too. But who can blame him, everything does point to Meg being a killer, and having killed more than once.

This is not only the story about him wanting answers, because soon there is a body and a murder mystery. Which introduces a man I loathed, did he have nothing better to do than accuse innocent women? A bit of a semi-bad guy and a total ass.

There is also the romance, because Grayson lusts after her, even if she is only a human, and he believes she might have killed. And she, well who could say no to him. Passion promised too.

A negative thing would be that Grayson could be a bit hasty in his conclusions sometimes, but then again even though he let her know that he thought she might have done something, he still protected her too. Poor guy, he was very conflicted. So he redeemed himself in wanting to save her.

Recommendation and final thoughts:

A nice historical paranormal romance. Murder, mystery, romance and vampires. When I finished the book I also had a wish, Meg has a certain friend, and I would love for that friend to get a HEA.

A Night of Secrets could be shelved as both a historical romance and a paranormal romance. I enjoy both genres so having them together in one story makes me a happy reader!

Meg James is muddling through life trying to protect her family from indiscretion and scandal when she meets a mysterious stranger who proceeds to complicate her life even more. Grayson Bellamont, a 400 year old vampire, is looking for answers about the murder of his family and the whereabouts of his missing niece but he gets more than he bargains for when he mets Meg, a poor Vicar's daughter. Grayson thinks Meg holds the answers and Meg will do anything to protect her family. Both hold crucial secrets that threaten to tear their worlds apart and they must set aside their differences and work together. The more time they spend together the more their mutual mistrust and suspicions slowly turn into affection and respect. Grayson never thought that he could love anyone, much less a human, but Meg holds a piece of his heart and he cannot deny the feelings that she innocently arouses in him. Meg and Grayson work through many secrets and doubts before they are able to claim the love they feel for one another.

*Mild spoiler*

Brighton's vampires are not made...they are born. I was wondering how we would get a happily ever after since humans can't be turned but I'm glad to say that it all worked out just fine. Different and interesting take on the vampire world.

WOW! There is a lot going on in this story. Just when you think you know what it's going to be all about, a dead body is found floating nearby. Threw me for a loop!!!

Tangled up in secrets, murder, and denial, Grayson and Meg travel a road that can only lead to each other. Grayson is fighting against his nature and can not believe that it is love he is feeling. Meg refuses to accept that she could love a man like Grayson due to occurances in her past. Their overwhelming attraction thrown in the mix makes for very interesting reading indeed! Both fighting against the one person that is their perfect match.

My ONLY negative......I enjoyed this book, but I think it would have been better without the murder mystery. Given that the book was a historical romance, a paranormal romance, and a suspense romance all wrapped up in one, it made for confusion at points. It was a bit much to take on in only 283 pages. I was completely intrigued before the first body was ever found, so I know I would have continued reading without it.

I am always eager to try new authors and this one did not disapoint. Lori Brighton's writing proved descriptive, engaging, and vivid. (The reader could feel the lust jump off the page!) I will look for more by this author.

Meg James, a vicar’s daughter, witnessed a horrific tragedy and due to this tragedy, she has promised a dying mother she would protect her young daughter. As time goes by, things get bad for the James family. They are poor, about to lose their house, the town seems to hate them, and now a mysterious man has showed up asking questions. Now, not only is she trying to protect her family, but she must protect herself and her heart.

Grayson Bellamont has fought in the war for years. It helped to hide what he hid within him and when he finally returns to England he discovers his sister has been murdered and his niece is missing. People are mysteriously dying everywhere and he knows he must find his niece before it is too late. What he finds is Meg. What is Grayson to do when she awakens apart of him he thought was long gone? And why does he feel this need to protect her while also trying to get the truth from her?

This is my first read of Lori Brighton’s and I am hooked! I am a big fan of historical and paranormal. This book has both. It doesn’t take away from the story at all. It was such a fabulous read and I can’t wait to read more of this series. I highly recommend this book to anyone! It had me hooked from the first page. Great job Lori Brighton on an AMAZING read!

I liked the concept, but this book tried to be too much. Paranormal romance, historical romance, suspense romance, mystery romance. It was very repetitive (if I had to read that her hand combed through the hair near his neck, or that he rubbed the small of her wrist, or the word "Merde" which was said or thought on like every other page, I was going to throw my kindle!) and could have easily been shortened for a much tighter story. The murder mystery was almost pointless, in my opinion, and distracted from the more interesting parts of the book (like the vampire history) that were never fully explored. I also never truly understood why the family were outcasts in their town, though some things were hinted at.

The characters weren't awful, I enjoyed their "courting" and their swoon worthy romance, they just grew annoying with their mistrust of each other. I enjoyed Hanna and wish she showed up more in the story, which she should have really been the center of. The other two sisters pretty much morphed into one.

I liked this book well enough to finish it, and basically enjoy it, but I wouldn't rush out for the sequel, a character was introduced at the end that seems like a convenient introduction for another book.

3 stars == I liked it. I enjoyed the leads - the loyal, sweet, unconventional, improverished Vicar's daugter Meg and the handsome, mysterious and haunted Grayson - and I thought that the pair they had good chemistry together.

But now for my nits: for me the story ran just a bit too long. It was a 'lusty, no trusty' loaded with secrets that Meg and Grayson spend considerable energy trying to pry from each other, while at the same time trying to resist the unavoidable attraction they feel for the other. I spent a fair amount of the book just wishing that the truth would come out - though to be fair, I do have to admit that there actually ended up being a reason for the delay when all was said and done.

I hunted down A Night of Secrets after having reading A Night of Forever in the Entangled anthology. A Night of Forever is a connected short that follows this one and stars one of the Meg's sisters. If you enjoy Meg and Grayson's story, I'd recommend checking into Entangled for Mary Ellen's story and as a bonus it is in the company of a fair number of other decent shorts.

This was quite a delightful and steamy read. Grayson is a hunky vampire who falls for a human girl named Meg. Meg is accused of murder, kidnapping and stealing Grayson's heart.

These two go through some really rough patches and some really steamy intimate scenes. Well written and descriptive story. I have read some of Lori Brighton's other work and really enjoyed Mind Readers. I really enjoy her vivid scenes.

This book will appeal to those who are looking for a little paranormal romance with vampires, humans of questionable behaviors and vampire slayers. It is a little different spin on the myths out there about vampires.

Having really enjoyed Ms. Brighton's "Wild Heart", I snatched this one up when I saw it. Not only did the author's name catch my eye, but so did the beautiful cover. And the fact that it was a historical paranormal romance was just icing on the cake. I thought this was a great story, and I'm eagerly awaiting another one in this series. I fell in love with Grayson along with Meg. I thought the idea that Grayson was a soldier in a war to hide that he was a vampire was a unique one. I very quickly got caught up in this story and couldn't put it down. Great chemistry, together with a compelling mystery, kept me highly entertained. 4.5 stars

After reading Lori Brighton's Wild Series, I was nervous and anxious to read more of her work. I have read other authors with one great series and the next series sucks. THIS IS NOT THE CASE! Lori Brighton brings you a new and hot series with A Night of Secrets! Meg is a fun and spunky leading lady who was easy to root for and even easier to identify with. Grayson fuels the fire in this paranormal historical and I couldn't get enough of him!

I have spent the last week consuming every Lori Brighton book I can on my Nook. I am so pleased I found her in KISS ME KILL ME, I will follow this author anywhere she wants me to go.

The book had an interesting plot but the main character was annoying.

She kept contradicting herself and it got to the point of enough-was-enough. She was trying to save her family but was useless and helpless. She then gets accused for murder and does nothing about it. She gets the solution to everything by marrying the leading man (who she lost her Virginity to) and then she regrets it.

What the hell.

Really great read! Love the characters and how Gray and Meg fall in love, the fact that he is a tortured vampire with his past and how she helps him "feel" again. Good plot and story also great who done it mystery! I give it five stars I would love to see what happens to Grayson and Meg and Hanna! There was also some really steamy scenes in this book that I give an A!!

Really enjoyed this book. It was a little mix of everything - historical, paranormal, romance, intrigue... I enjoyed the build up of the relationship between Meg and Grayson... Having said that, there was a little too much, "he likes me, no, he doesn't" kind of thing going on... The waive ring back and forth got a little tiring... But all in all, an enjoyable read...

Utterly fantastic. My two favourite genres cleverly and expertly brought together! The story was innocent, otherworldly, packed with heat ...everything. Not read something so good in a while just breathtaking. The writting style was classic an flawless, with a little edge here and there and lots of dramaticale flare while maintaining a great love story at its heart. Brilliant!
