An ingenious collection of riddles and word-play games introduces a collection of zoological hybrids--animal names that fit neatly together--including the crabbit, the flamingoat, and the rhinocerostrich.
Bernard Most is an author of children's books, especially books about dinosaurs. He lives in Westchester County, New York with his wife, two cats, and many fish.
This was a silly book filled with jokes about combining animals together. This would be a great book to role play and have the students act out. This would also be a nice break to let them laugh a little bit and try to pronounce made-up funny words that are mixed animals.
This book has good illustrations. It's kind of difficult to read the words when they combine two animals together though. Be good for students to use their imagination. I wouldn't recommend it for young children.
