Israel Abrahams, MA (honoris causa) (b. London, November 26, 1858; d. Cambridge, October 6, 1925) was one of the most distinguished Jewish scholars of his generation. He wrote a number of classics on Judaism, most notably, Jewish Life in the Middle Ages (1896).
Whilst I think the book had some good points, it was pretty dull and uninteresting compared to a lot of texts on Judaism. Furthermore, I feel that this book is better for people who already have a decent understanding of Judaism. This book already assumes so, which can be quite disadvantageous as it's small and case easily convince people that it's a beginners book.
I find this an excellent study. They are many topics that are brought up that I have never considered. I would definitely recommend this book for studying Judaism.
This came as a free ebook on Amazon as the author was obviously not a contemporary one. it does contain quite a lot of information but the presentation is less preferred. I respect the knowledge and scholarship.

This book was informative in a different way. It explores Judaism philosophically rather than in history or as the religion. It was a sort of philosophical comparison with Judaism, Christianity and other philosophical views.
This book was too hard to understand. It was a quick read and brief overview of the history of judaism but I did not learn much. In my research of judaism I have learned much more from websites. I will be searching for other books that are easier to comprehend. It was not so much the language but the structure and how he presented the content in such a condensed form.
This book is factual informative and helps a layman like myself to educate ourselves and others so a better world remains. Thank you Amazon for this book of education.
