Patrick and James from Naughty: By Any Other Name are back! This time James is coming to visit Patrick at his hometown, and Patrick couldn't be more excited. Things take a turn for the worse when James makes it clear he wants to go dancing at one of the gay clubs the city has to offer. Patrick not only doesn't want to go, he doesn't even want to be spotted in the neighborhood. Will they be able to salvage the unexpectedly gone-wrong evening, or should they stick to getting together via web-cam?
There's a reason guys growl for G.R. Richards erotica. You would never know it by the love of public television documentaries and great food in high end restaurants, but G.R. pens some of the world's steamiest guy-on-guy stories. G.R. is no stranger to a bed damp with sweat or the sweetness of bodies pressed against each other. Next time you feel the urge, pour yourself a glass of fine red wine, play some sultry background music, and join G.R. Richards in a world where all the guys get to play... and all the rest get to watch.
This was a good follow-up to James and Patrick's earlier story, By Any Other Name. The relationship being more real, and different expectations, lead to a "sort of fight" that makes them both realize what's really important. It gives Patrick the courage to take a step forward in their physical relationship. I liked that they took it slow, which just seems the right thing for these two to do. Even though Patrick is still far from actually coming out, by the end of this story I was beginning to feel that, one day, he might.
I didn't realise I'd read this before book 1, but it really didn't affect the reading experience at all. It was a great short story, with great characters and the perfect treat for when you have a spare ten minutes to read.
