War cries and wedding bells will become the symphony The Twelve use to lure their enemy to their turf. With a few strategic enticements in the form of eligible maidens and a ball, the stage is set and invitations are sent out to all their friends and enemies.
With the Belle Eveque on the "ball" she doesn't waste the opportunity and requires the remaining Twelve to select their favorite maidens for courting. They agree while keeping the selection process true to their brotherhood customs, rolling the Judgment and Fate dice at various stages. But, once all is said and done, war or no war--they have six months to make it work and tie the knot.
I’m a husband and author, and I may be a little religious about both. I like writing hot sex and encapsulating it in the delicate white silk of devotion, commitment, and psychotic obsession.
S@*t fire and save matches, yáll! There is no way I can even tell you a smidgen of what's going on without giving something away and YOU DON'T WANT TO MISS ONE WORD OF THIS ONE! There are surprises around every corner and truthfully, at one point I wanted to slap Hurricane upside the back of the head. Thankfully, I was so far behind on reading that it won't be long before the next book in this series comes out because I'm sitting over here like one of Pavlov's dogs waiting to see what's going to happen next. Five stars just don't seem to establish what this book should be rated.
Well, if things aren't about to get bat crap crazy for Nitro. Poor guy doesn't know what he's in for. Felix trains and runs the bird sanctuary. Nitro is trying to get her to move for her protection because of the war that's coming. Will she listen to what he says? Will she tell him to take a flying leap? This one made me laugh a bit more than I expected. Felix seems sweet and innocent but determined to do things her own way. What's going to happen? I can't wait to read the next book to find out. Lucian Bane really knows how to keep you interested and on the edge of your seat, and damn these cliffhangers get me every single time.
The first thing that comes to mind when I think of Lucian Banes's 8th book Maison D'Amour in his Bayou Bishops MC series is hilarious! This book made me laugh more than any in a good while. Lucian -the King of Cliffhangers- gave us a good one with this book. I was laughing in tears at the end. We're given a little bit of everything in this book. It's funny, erotic, tense, sad, and of course dramatic with all these ladies and men. Can't decide which causes more drama at this point. This book starts right where Ruckus left off and now The Twelve are learning more about their enemy from Ruckus. He agrees to join them and help in any way he can as long as one of the coven men is left for him. You'll have to read who! As he's getting closer with Seer and they learn more about each other Ruckus also reveals that Beth has some powers of her own. It actually makes Bishop question all the decisions he's been making including all the members of The Twelve getting married. I wonder if Tully will have some sort of powers too since it seems all the women coming to the swamp do in some way. The Swamp Ball hasn't happened yet as they are still trying to sort through around 2700 women to find out who to invite. And asking the members what they want in a woman... oh man. 8-Bit even came up with an app to help them pick their maidens and see test their scores so the Bayou now has a dating app of sorts. And of course, another member falls before the ball. We are introduced to Felix a falconer that runs the bird sanctuary in the swamp. This girl has had her heart broken and just wants to be left alone but where the sanctuary is it won't be safe with the battle the swamp has coming so Nitro has to go and try to talk her into leaving and of course, he falls. Fast and hard and fighting it only leads him into trouble. I won't give it away but Felix is one woman who doesn't want to need a man for ANYTHING! She's happy just being on her little swamp island with her birds. And she is ready to fight for it any way she has to. Maybe another Bat-tie in the future?? I gave this book a 5-star rating and a 4-spicy rating. What made this book so good was how it made me laugh. I haven't had that in a long time. And reading about these guys and trying to find the woman to marry them is a hilarious mess. How these guys will actually end up with women is beyond me. It must be a swamp thing. The book leaves off with something good to come in the next, Bayou Bat Maiden where we'll see the continuation of Nitro and Felix. Hopefully, it's just as funny as this book.
How am I on book 8 already? Anyway, this book ends on a cliffhanger it’s about Nitro (explosives expert) and Felix a young woman who lives in the area of swamp that he’s responsible for. She currently lives alone and rears birds and bats for various purposes.
The area she lives in is in a bad place geographically so it’s been decided that she needs to be moved somewhere safer. She doesn’t agree. Sparks fly between the pair, they’re both strongly attracted to each other. Unsurprisingly Nitro manages to mess everything up when past events are uncovered. On the wider stage events a few surprises pop up.
Another fantastic addition to this series!! In this book we meet Felix and her birds…she is running the bird sanctuary and trains bird…I loved getting to know the fiercely independent and innocent Felix…she is a perfect introduction to the series and the Twelve and I can’t wait to see what she stirs up in the swamp!! And the end of this book was just jaw dropping and I cannot wait for the next addition to the Bishops!
Madison D'Amour : A Louisiana Bayou Bishops, Book8
If you love quirky characters, and dark twists and turns, you will love Lucian Band's Mansion D'Amour. Nitro goes to a homestead of one of his Hatch members. He remembers the little girl who was raised with her passion for birds, but what he finds is a 20 year old knockout.Nitro falls hard for Felix, and must now convince her to leave her birdhouse and sign up for the Maiden for the swamp ball!
It just keeps building and building... So much going on Felix is shaken by Nitro's plan to manipulate her into moving and doesn't believe he's sincere about his attraction to her. Revelations about Beth's power. Did she know about it, is she completely unaware of even having one. Getting ready for the Swamp ball, and all the ladies taking a chance on matching up with one of the Twelve. Must keep reading.
Wow! This episode of The Bishops is on fire. Such a good plot, I can't say much as I don't want to leave spoilers. I think Nitro has become one of my favourites, while I would like to batter Hurricane. Exciting and engaging, so much so I am hanging for the next book to find out how things will pan out.
I am loving this series by Lucian, you can always rely on Lucian to bring the heat!! We are introduced to Felix in this edition, I love how feisty she is, until she submits to Nitro that is, she doesn't realise how much pleasure can be brought just by submitting to him, he's about to show her just how much!
I love reading these stories. You get so many different feelings throughout Lucian’s books. This one had so much sexy heat without intercourse. A woman’s decision biting her in the behind & she wants to prove herself. The crazy 12 that are hilarious & not so smart at the same time. The respect for a leader & his woman who helps other women. Thank you Lucian Bane
Had a good laugh over how quickly Nitro is finding Felix is not a little girl anymore and he doesn't like the idea of her possibly becoming another brother's wife.
Not to crazy about having to continually reading the series with the because each book is an incomplete tale of each relationship. Leaving my review until I finish the series, or however far I get in case it isn't complete.
Ni tro likes Felix and I'm starting to think she likes him too. Hurricane has a big mouth I think. But he loves to call his brothers bon thier s***, and love to make them mad
I am crazy about this new couple! The dynamics are building to an explosion of lust that will shake the bayou. I have to hurry and keep this short so I can get to the next part of the story. I think I really do love these Bayou Bishop men!
The imagination and talented plot and character building is off the chain! Each book gets better and better. #8 is by far my favorite but all were great can't wait for #9. Gonna be good grreat:
Oh wow, what a powerful ending to this book and now I can’t wait to get my hands on the next book in the series to find out what happens. I love that we’re getting the individual stories of each of the 12, yet previous couples are still thrown in each book.
The plot seems to.drag along. It starting to get confusing about what is going on in the background. But I still like all the characters, so I will stick with it.
