I only read a section of Volume 3, on the Year 3 in the Islamic calendar. It shows the ways in which Muhammad and his followers saught to found what they felt to be a just, egalitarian, and inquisitive society and culture through a combination of persuasion and force, much like the anti-capitalist militants of the twentieth century.
